Long time lurker; first time poster!

At around 1500-2500 rpms the bike stutters.. I'm giving it steady throttle, but it seems like for half a second at a time the engine isn't getting any gas about half a second apart.

This will happen in any gear after the bike has warmed up. The first time this happened I pulled over to a gas station and left the bike on; I thought I hadn't warmed it up enough yet. And so the problem DID go away the first time. I've been trying to perform a controlled experiment. It seems like the problem goes away when the bike is HOT.

Any ideas?
There is a slight knocking noise at the relatively same rpm range; could this be related(I went to a Harley dealership about the knocking noise and they said it might be coming from the primary or front hydraulic lifter)?

I should also mention that I can indeed reproduce the problem while in neutral, and when I say the problem goes away(so far) when the bike is hot I mean when the fan comes on whilst running.

I'm not very technical, so please explain it to me like I'm an 8 year old.

I watched the video and listened to what you describe.

It would appear that you may need to do a TPS reset, that is, a Throttle Position sensor.

I'm not familiar with XB's, however, maybe you can use ECMspy to do the reset. You'll need to buy a cable to connect your diagnostic port to a laptop. That can be had here...http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A9317.html

Sorry this info took so long to get to you, but we are partying and riding this time of year.

Welcome to BadWeb Timmy.

Thank you!

I don't have the equipment to do that, so I'll give the mechanic this tip.
