I would greatly appreciate it if someone PM'ed me or posted a MegaLogViewer .log file from a healthy '07 Uly.

I intend to use it as a baseline to compare battery voltages and such to troubleshoot and check for clues.

I have been getting tachometer jumps ... both up and down, usually followed by the engine stalling or bucking (like the coil stopped firing or no fuel), this is usually accompanied by a LOUD backfire. When it quits I cycle the ignition switch and the bike starts normally.

Make sure all your grounds are screwed in tight. I installed the rider comfort kit and was talking to someone when I was screwing it back together.... I put the screw in that holds 4 ground wires but didn't tighten it... My Uly was bucking randomly on the highway and would smooth out if I wasn't sitting on the seat... I pulled off the road and found the loose screw and since then I haven't had any problems. I don't think it was backfiring... had music on so may not have heard it. I have a jardine exhaust and may have thought it was that.

Good luck!
