Its a simple question. I only wanna spend about a grand or so to get just that little bit more outta my 05XBR. already has race kit ecu filter and muffler. has a open airbox with a vented carbon fibre cover and also the xb9 primary chain. I am very capable of doing any work myself (unless its headwork and valves) as a mechanical maintenance fitter and turner by trade so the budget is just for parts... curious as to what people that have already done some work and know a bit more about specific buell engines than I. headwork. pistons swap. etc.

...take a track day and do an advanced riding course. You will come out of there pulling more performance out of an already strong bike.

Plus you will have a great time doing it!!!

Yep .. and/or sell the XB then use the extra 1k to get 1125r or cr.
