Don't know if there's such a thing as "too tall" for a Buell... best bet is try to find an SS (which for '09 has the STT suspension) at a dealer and sit on it. Maybe a Uly is more suited to you : )

I'm 6'1" 200lbs and when I demoed the xb12ss it was perfect. You can always swap the handlebars for more rise or get rear sets for a few more inches of legroom but with a more aggressive stance. If that doesnt suite you Jettdawg might have the right idea if you dont mind an adventure class.

All the R's (including the 1125) are way too small for me at 6'2". The XB9SX is a little tight, but very comfortable. Sitting on a TT fit like a ***glove***.

I'm 6'4" at 240 I'm riding a XB12R, had to buy the lowered foot pegs, about an inch lower than stock, to get my legs to fit to the frame better. Don't have any problems though.

6'4" 260 SB9SX and I'm putting a low seat on it cause I'm looking down in the cab of the big rigs I ride by. JK I just think I need to sit down in the bike a little deeper (mass centralization) I dont really need a boost to see over traffic.
When everyone else was getting scooters, I had to get a Buell, I would have had to buy 2 scooters..... one for each foot.
and still everyone laughs when I pull up on the Buell, go figure

I'm 6'2" 170lbs and a newbie on an XB12R. Apart from a bit of wrist ache (maybe gripping too tight as I get used to the bike!) I find it remarkably comfortable, considering the riding position. I'd thought of fitting the lowered pegs, but does 1" make any real difference? Did a 350 km ride last weekend and barely a hint of ass-ache! I find the stock seat really comfortable.

Am 6', with 34' inseam.

Just got new 09 XB9SX.

Seat to peg with the new lower seats is a little right. Put on the old skyline seat, made a big difference.

But if you you're really tall, get the Uly. The Uly fits me better than the CityX, but the CityX was good enough and I did not want a 12.

Surprised to hear people liked the TT. I sat on one, and seat to peg was as tight as any of the lightenings. City X really does have longer seat to peg. Seat to floor I don't care about, I can flat foot anything, and I'm sure you can too.

Am 6'8", with 39" inseam.
Went down to the local dealership and sat on a 08 XB12X ( the bike I will buy after i do my BRC this weekend ).
My plan is 1.5" add to the seat and 1" bar risser, then am good to go.
