Problem

1. Bike started sounding"loud" from trans-engine after just making it to gas station yesterday with a pretty much empty tank
2. continued sounding a lot on the way home
3. on the way to work did not run well in the lower revs and stuttered and died, manage too start it again but then just died
4. when I attempt to start it it just sounds like a jet motor, no ignition what-so-ever
5. Have noticed before it died that there was a considerate increase in the smell of petrol when starting but i thought it was just the new race map

I have recently added fuel injection cleaner when trying to resolve a problem that turned out too be the 02 sensor so one of the guy's I work with thinks its clogged injectors.

Does anybody recognize this problem?

I have also put in new spark plugs, hats and a race map for the bike but it's run great after that.

Have this problem on an english buell website and the issue of diesel in the tank has been brought up but I filled the bike up (11,26 L) and drove 45km with it before it died. Have also done the sniff test and wet a rag and watch it go up in flames so I'm pretty sure it's not diesel!!

Thanks for all and any help

/Michael

You may want to check for a fuel leak. The only thing that I can think of that would sound like a jet engine, and I have worked around them, would be the fuel pump or the the start if it is not engaging. I have not heard/read about this though. Hope this helps.
