The KV page for bodywork and paint has a list of paint codes and includes this one:

Demon Blue - DBC 5246

My 2000 M2 was blue, that is the only blue listed there, am I correct in assuming that was the color I had?

And is that DBC 5246 the code needed to order a paint that shade?

I'm thinking I want to paint my Dyna that blue. It was originally a blue that was called something different but was similar.

Thanks for any info or suggestions.

Jack

Thanks, Bads.

I'm a rookie at buying paint. If I buy from that paint code and have it shot buy a competent painter, will it have the same look that the M2 did? It had sort of a metallic look to it that I liked.

Well I'll tell ya. Its a PPG paint. I had some work done and I brought a piece of the body work that didn't need paint so they would get a match. He did have to tint it a bit by adding some white to get it just right.

they had to paint all the body work to match the tank.

Yep, that's the same paint and what I'm looking for.

Looks like you got a wonderful match. Good looking scooter too!

My Dyna was a some similar H-D flavor of blue when new (I never saw it that way though) so I going to have the Dyna done in that color.

A discerning Bueller with a sharp eye might recognize the paint but that makes no difference to me.

Thanks for the help,

Jack
