I was reading my manual on rear wheel removal and decided to check here in the KV. I read in there that you could remove the rear wheel without taking the pulley assembly off. Basically saying that if you remove rear axle and remove brake caliper assembly that the wheel will "drop right out". Can anyone confirm? Thanks, TA | ||

If you are talking about the idler pulley, Yes. You can pull the rear wheel w/o having to take off the idler. Don't forget to loosen the pinch bolt under the swing arm on the right side. Don't twist the belt, just try to hold it out of the way while rolling the tire/wheel out the back of the bike. | ||

It has been mentioned a bunch of times, but put some anti-seize on the axle before you reinstall it. You might as well pull the soft rubber seals out of the rear wheel bearings and smear just a little new grease in there. The seals will lock right back in. |
