Does anyone have any suggestions concerning modifying these seats to fit more comfortably in the "frontal regions?" I've modified other v twin seats for looks as opposed to comfort, but now comfort is my primary concern. Perhaps sterility is a good thing, lol. Thanks to all in advance. Peace. |

Do you have the "L" seat? It's not suitable for exterior genetic transfer equipment. I bought the "custom color matched" Buell seat, you may still be able to find one. It gets rid of the stupid "passenger must hang on to avoid sliding of the back because the seat tilts that way" effect, and gives the proper "passenger must hang on to avoid g-forces peeling her off" effect. Much more comfy for me too. ( see profile pic. ) If the regular seat is the problem, try cutting the foam in an arc behind you to give more of a bucket effect & move the jewels back a little & a gel insert directly underneath you. This will rob passenger space so be aware of hip sizes. ( while you are at it add foam/gel to passenger area & add stiff foam lip to reduce "slide off". ) Cover with exotic rare animal hide to taste. ( I like the wild Nauga, myself ) |

Thanks Aesquire for your advice. I've been considering buying a used M2 seat so that i can strip it to the base plate, then have a local upholsterer built it back up in a more ergonomic and "jewel friendly" configuration. I sort of visualize a more friendly profile when i gaze at the seat in angst before my ride. I think getting the second seat or base plate will eliminate the weeks of down time necessary for this undertaking. Peace and best regards, Rydin. |
