What is the reason for somebody to use the 120/60 over the stock 120/70?

I was looking at my bike (2002 x1 with PM) and it has 120/60... I found a killer deal on CorsaIII on ebay for the 120/70.

Just curious

I would hazard a guess that the smaller diameter would aid in turn-in, less tire means less gyro effect. I tried them once on my S3 and was unable to tell the difference. Other than it would not seal on the rim and always leaked.

my 2000 Cyclone has a 120/70.

I would also guess you won't be able to really feel a difference.

got the old conti 120/60 swapped out for the new CorsaIII 120/70. The 120/70 feels more natural on the bike. The 60 was quicker to drop in on turns and felt more flickable -- almost too much. The 70 just seams like a more natural / nuetral fit. The dealer only put in 35psi - I think i'll like the 120/70 even better with a few more psi.

But I went from a wore out conti tire to a new race type Corsa Diablo tire.

I'd almost say it made the front suspension work better... Can't described it other than - more natural and nuetral. I like it.

Can't talk about the braking change since I put on new lyndall gold pads.
