Getting ready to install the new bolts on my 2000 M2. The service manual lists the following.

Now we all know that the service manual has any number of errors, which is why I checked the service bulletin for the earlier models.

The service bulletin seems a little more believable since they take the time to coat the bolt head with oil.

So, here's what each says...

service bulletin loctite 271 & 60 ft-lb
service manual loctite 262 & 75 ft-lb

Does anyone have a service manual from 2001 or 2002 for the X1, M2, S3? Would you please check what it says? It's under the "Cylinder Head", the section on "Assembly".
