I have an 07 Uly with 2200 miles and it has picked up a vibration in the last 200 miles. It is a numbing vibration that can be felt in the bars, seat and pegs and it puts my hands to sleep in less than 20 miles. The dealer just did the 2500 mile service and looked for the vibration but said they could not feel anything abnormal. They admitted they did not have a mechanic that was "good" with Buells. They did adjust the primary but that did not help. I used to want to just keep riding the bike now I cant wait to get off of it. Any help would be appreciated...

Check all the fasteners and clamps and supports on the exhaust tract, including the cylinder head's header stud nuts.

Thanks Blake- I checked the exhaust and it was all in good order. Any other ideas are greatly appreciated!

Did you do a visual check or a wrench on hardware check?

Might want to double check the primary chain tension to be sure that the dealership actually adjusted it properly.

Another possible source might be the rubber isolators, front and rear.

It gets more involved from there, like a loose generator rotor/magnet(s) and/or a possible loose engine output shaft nut.

At what engine speed (RPM) is the vibration most prevalent? Does it diminish at other engine speeds or as engine speed rises above 3,000 rpm?

Thanks again Blake! I put a wrench on the exhaust fittings and they were all tight. The vibration is present at all speeds and seems to be directly correlated with the RPM. At slower speeds it is more pronounced and at high speed it just a numbing sensation. The bike just never smoothes out like before. I have not checked the primary myself but the front mount looks good as in no chunks missing. It does have small crack like marks on each side. The marks look like sharp rub marks more than cracks and you cannot insert anything into them so it may be normal. I have an appointment tomorrow with another dealer who seems more knowledgeable and interested in helping me. I will keep everyone posted on what I find out. I appreciate the help greatly.

Your isolator looks okay to me. When they fail, they will tear and the engine support bracket will drop down onto the steel stop.

Mine's on it's way out for sure. All of the problems you're discribing have been getting worse by the mile. It looks just like the pic when sitting on the kickstand but when i sit on it off the stand it drops down to the stop. My money's on the front mount.

Marty12s- What is yours doing and what has been done to fix it? I have another dealer that is willing to look at it but they cant get it in for two weeks. That gives me time to try to fix it myself.
