There're a lot of reviews out there about the Michelin Pilot Road 2, almost all of them glowing. My experience over the past 32,000 miles on PR2's simply confirms what everyone already knows.

+ Always, always, always had grip in the dry
+ Only ever broke traction in the wet by gunning it on a rear tire that was down to the wear bars at 70mph in a downpour of biblical proportions
+ Never squared off a rear tire, even with a mostly-highway commute
+ Changing lean angle, anywhere from zero lean to almost-all-the-way-over, took the same light effort no matter what angle I was transition from/to. This includes side-to-side transitions. Of course, faster transitions required greater effort, but there was a nice, direct relationship between amount of shove on the bars and quickness of lean.
+ Changing lean angle from almost-all-the-way to I'm-dragging-my-boot took ridiculously little effort, even less than mentioned above
+ Both front and rear held pressure very well over a pretty good range of cool and warm weather. One or two adjustments each in the spring and fall were all they ever needed. I've ridden them in temperatures from the mid-20s (F) to over 100.

- Not exactly cheap
- Good but not great at smoothing out choppy roads and small bumps. A single day with Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart 2's shows them to be better at this than the Michelins ever were.

::Would recommend; would buy again.

Hopefully I'll be able to give a good comparison of the Dunlops in a few weeks. It's too soon right now, having just got them installed today, and it's not fair to compare new tires to worn out ones. Nevertheless, the Dunlop's small bump absorption is so excellent that I stand by the comment I made above.

I'm always riding in the rain and I don't feel confident with todays sport tires when it gets wet. I kept reading about the Pilot 2 tires so I invested in a pair. Now I look forward to rainy days. Love these tires.

I’ve ridden the Pilot Power 2ct for so long, I know there’s most likely a “better” tire out there, but I’m so attached to the way they feel that I’m nervous about changing.

Speaking of tires, I replaced my Michelin Pilot Road with Angel GT and I can say that the GT has better performance in the wet. Excellent grip on dry roads also. I bought this Pirelli tire from 4wheelonline last June.
