Hello all: new to the Buell world and have a question regarding my 05 XB9SX (1200 miles). Is it normal for the fan to come on when riding after about an hour in 75 degree temps? I just noticed for the first time that the fan has come on (normally only comes on when I shut the bike off hot). Never has come on before when riding (even on much hotter days and longer rides). Any thoughts/experiences?

Yes, that is a normal event.

If you add a right side air scoop that will NOT be a normal event for you.

Good luck.

PS-use a good synthetic oil like Red Line or Mobil 1 and this will also reduce the fan run time.
