pulled off the back tire tonight! got brake fluid everywhere! replaced the pulley with a 52tooth sprocket and spacer. having trouble with the front pulley got kind of a weak set-up for removal(cheap 1/2" drive impact wrench with a 3/4" adapter and 3/4" drive socket). i had over 100# of air going and no dice, i was worried the neighbors would get pissed so i did'nt max it out(it was after 10:30), will try again in the morning. |

it seems quick blasts on the impact wrench is the way to get the tough nuts off! managed to install the kit! took a long time though!!

i figure it took about 6 hrs., had quite a few hold ups though...
#1 beware when you take the back tire off the caliper holder falls to the ground, luckily i had a towel under there.
#2 omg, get help putting the back tire back on, this is very difficult alone.
#3 you'll probably have to remove several links from the chain, buy a tool for this! this was one of the hardest steps, i must've spent 30-45min. grinding one of the link pins to remove a half a dozen links!
#4 give yourself plenty of time! it's a real pain in the ••• to get some of these things done namely, installation of the tensioner and final adjustment. also the seal behind the front sprocket was a real bear! i did'nt give myself enough time and i ended up late to work today and the chain is way too tight!!! |

How's your 1250 doing? Just thought I'd check. I had some very good! experiences lately will Millenium. They have taken good care of me and my guys. I've got nearly 30k on my kit and I'm thinking of going to a 90incher! N E how let me know.

Well I have been lurking for a while and have found the information fantastic. I have a 2001 cyclone and was wondering what type of mileage is normal from the belt?
Love the bike and use it for sport touring, dont really ride it that hard. |

if you keep your belt super loose, it can last 20k+ miles, or if a rock gets up in there it can break tomorrow! i would'nt have changed mine if my bike had'nt gone through 4 belts! just make sure the belt is sloppy loose and carry a cell phone! |

Yeah, typical seems to be around 10,000 miles if you're unlucky and 40,000+ if all goes well. |

put about 500 miles on the chain, so far so good!!
definitely feels different, and boy did it stretch out quick! i'm using a new belray product for lube, it's supposed to be clear, it's white, works well though with no slop. |

Tripp, Throw the Diamond chain away and install an RK Xring chain. I now have 4000 miles on mine with no adjustments needed so far.

i definitely plan on a installing a nicer chain in the spring, do the xring jobbies come in colors? orange would be awesome! |

I think EK offers chains in colors but RK does not. If you like colors I guess you could use colored chain lube.LOL
