Too cold for me. I am going to sit home and watch UF-Auburn basket ball and Barrett-Jackson auction.
Maybe next week will be a tad warmer.

I ride to work everyday except if it is raining. Now I have to admit I only work 4 miles from home...but I do ride.
Coldest ever ride to work for me was in early 80's. Back then the lab was at the Sanford airport and I lived in Altamonte Springs (22 mile commute). I saw bank signs saying 22 F on the ride in...BRRR!!

I couldn't do it this morning. Since I moved it's 50 miles to work and the car display said 28 at one point on the way in this morning. It would have taken me 3 hours to thaw out. |

Hello all, I've been around badweb for a while, usually check out TABOO but I just found this thread. Didn't know there was a get together right here in Orlando. Was thinking about coming and hanging out at Barnies on a Wed. night but its been so damn cold. Anyway I'll keep checking this thread and see when your all planning on heading out there and maybe take the ride out. |

Been riding to work in spite of all the cold... there was enough frost on the seat this morning to make a small snowball with. I haven't seen actual snow in almost 8 years now. Cant wait for it to start warming up this weekend. Happy Riding everybody |

Hey everyone, just wanted to pop my head in the room...I'm taking the fam on vaca to Orlando at the end of March. I wanted some feedback on some fun things to do while I'm there. I've got a 4 year old, so we're obviously hitting Disney.
What dealerships are there, and is there anything else unique that I should check out? Bike rentals are probably too pricey, so I doubt I'll be able to ride while there.

Where are you visiting from? What kind of fun are you looking for?
Orlando HD is on I-4, and you'll probably pass by it a lot as you negotiate the town. They don't do anything with Buells, but they do rent HD bikes. The prices range from $89 to $139. Sportsters, Dynas, and V-Rods in the $89 range, Electra-glides and Road Glides at $139, and the other bikes are in between.
Seminole and Lakeland HD's are about 30 miles North and South (or East and West according to I-4) respectively. Those are your main Buell Dealers in the area, but I don't think they rent Buells either.
Tell us more about what kinds of things your family likes to do. If you like spending money, then places like Universal and Disney can't be beat. If you guys prefer a more low-key good time, then Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center are fun to check out. You could also take everyone to Wekiwa Springs and go hiking or tubing.
There's also amateur drag racing (both cars and bikes) and moto-cross every Sunday in Bithlo, which isn't far away.
There's a ton of stuff to do, what's your flavor?

Thanks guys. We're coming from Vermont. We plan on hitting the Disney parks (cousin works for them, so we get into all the parks for free).
I heard there's some good water parks. My daughter would probably love the motorcross, since she's just learning to ride the dirtbike. Gatorland sounds interesting too...

Hey guys, I work over at the Orlando Yamaha Kawasaki dealership on 50 and we are doing a track day at Jennings 2-15-09. I know it's kinda last minute but if anyone interested its $110 for the day including lunch. We have about 15 openings left before the price goes up to $130.
