Well, it was to change priorities, I guess. But, some of this is typical of opening a facility. The first few months are crazy. The hospital won't open until late June and between now and then, it's pretty busy.

One up side for me now is that since I'm putting in some weekend time, I can work on a Sunday and get the following Friday off. This will be good for Springfast as I can ride out Friday morning instead of Friday after work. And I'll have that whole weekend off.

That was going to be my next question... Making sure you were still coming to Springfast! Stacey and I got our Scala headsets. we need to figure out how to link them : )

It's my fault - I brought up your old 'handle' yesterday and this morning it happens. Thankfully, nada is broken and the 1125 will live to go again. I apologize for jinxing you!

So far, the parts list is fairly minimal. I need a new fairing bracket, right side turn signal/mirror, and and the plastic undertail tray that the tail light screws into (was going to try to super glue it together, but some pieces were missing, and a new one is only $20) the rest of the damage is just scratches to the plastics.

I thought the right handle bar was bent, but I dont think it is now that I look at it. I will more than likely try to sand some of the plastics down and get them polished back up. As for me, my pride is hurt, and I will have several large bruises on my legs : (

Sorry to hear that Fish, glad that you're legs and ego are the only things bruised. Tell us it wasn't your fault.

Adam,
You going to be up to ride tomorrow? I talked Kim into riding also.
CJ, is probably going to work, you know how he "tries" to miss these rides.
Like I said, you can ride the CR if you want, just bring your seats.

Anybody else up for a ride???

I'd like to go up the high road, and around the enchanted circle to Mora, and then back down, tomorrow.
Early start around 9AM ??

Psh... if I could get out of it, I would. It's not like I'm excited about working on Sunday.

Meanwhile, hello Josh. I wonder if I saw you the other day going south on 528 and turning on Idalia. I was ahead in my truck. Noticed the yellow-ish Uly.

Hope to see you around.

Yup, Barricade Orange Uly, had my wife on the back. Got a Reactor Yellow X1 that I ride when I want my feet to touch the ground also. Hope to see you all around. I can probably make rides if I have a few days notice, got a baby and the wife works weekends.

Josh,
I typically ride somewhere every other weekend. I don't usually post here about rides because it's rare that someone actually shows up to ride, so I've kind of given up.
I have a big ride coming up in May called the SpringFast. It will be May 18, 19, 20th this year, and will be held in Alpine, AZ.

Don't think ill be making the ride ...still a bit bruised
Got parts on order, so hoping by end of week to have them. As for it being my fault, it kinda was since noone else was involved... I was heading to work on I40 during rush hour and couldn't see brake lights very well as the sun was directly in front of my eyes. Grabbed too much front brake to avoid rear ending and the front wheel locked up flipping my bike.

On another note, welcome aboard Josh. Always nice to have someone new.

HaHa! Well, the old man got a new (to me) Gold Wing so the wife could, once again, enjoy the road as much as I. Heck, I've got photos of then 'little' Fish sound asleep in the side car on the old Gold Wing as we sailed down the highway. It was all of those miles spent sleeping in the side car that made him the Buell addict that he is today. Springfest? Do you Bueller's allow the occasional interloper?

we need to stop referring to things that far in the past. Last time you did, history repeated itself ; ). I dont want to be falling asleep in any sidecars any time soon.

What year and color is your newish Gold Wing? I know a guy from Santa Ana PD who was selling a black one. 2006, I think. Nice bike. A bit too big for me, I think.

The 'Wing is a 2008 red one. My last 'Wing was a '93 red one.

OK, Lil' Fish - No more walking down memory lane although it's not a bad place to meander. You'll see when you get to be my age

Yes, all brands are welcome at Springfast, it has never been a Buell specific ride.
Might want to check and see if there are any rooms available still...

Adam, CJ just likes to tease me, he's known me so long now, I think he enjoys poking at me.

And I agree with memory lane. When he gets a few more years on him, he will enjoy it also.

One bike is enough. I don't see why you'd need to buy *two* at the same time.

One bike this month, one bike in another two months, one bike when prices drop in the fall, one bike in the spring... I see no problems!
