Good ride today, thanks Tim. A little cool and damp on the eighty mile ride to Nobleton to b-fast. The sun came out for a great ride back to Polk county. Was good to get out and put a couple hundred miles on the Uly. | |||

The wheels on the Uly look great. It was a really nice ride today. Tim did a great job of keeping us out in the country. Jezebel is amazing in the twisty stuff, but sucks in stop and go traffic. Jim is trying to sell his SCG because of how choppy and hard to ride slow his bike is. Actually I think mine is worse than his is. I shouldn't have ever ridden Johnny's ZX10..it is smooth as silk..no sputters, no farts....and it handles OK...not as much feedback as my bike, and it lacks that off idle grunt I love so much. And the reach to the bars is way too far for somebody my height (and age)...the Z1000 or Ninja is appealing. Hopefully before long E.B.R. will have a more affordable offering...I'd love to have an 1190...but not $40,000 worth of love, I'd crap green slime and harley oil if they came out with a mid sized bike. It's a sure bet there will be an ST type of bike and an aluminum and plastic version of the now magnesium and carbon fiber RS....the suspension on the rs alone retails for 18 freakin thousand dollars!!! it is supposed to be the "next generation" stuff from Ohlins. I wish KTM would bring in the smaller Duke models...would love a 350 Duke....I bet even the 125 would be fun considering it has big boy adjustable suspension and real tires and wheels. Jim sold it this week. Will be on its way to California by next Monday. The guy that bought it is smaller than you or me Harry, like 5'3" and #125 small! He said no way would the Corbin work he HAD to have the stock seat. At this point I'm either getting a new Tiger 800 with ABS or a 2008 Tiger 1050 with ABS. I've ridden both and actually like the 800 better as its about #75 lighter but 4K more in this case. The 1050 still has the low RPM grunt I've come to love though. We'll see............. No matter what I get you guys are welcome to have a sample! Jim | |||

I'm not real sure when the next (scheduled) ride will be, with the holiday being on the first Sunday. I. however will be riding on Sunday Jan 1 unless it is raining. It will be my birthday ride. If anybody wants to ride with me, let me know. The club ride will most likely be the next weekend. | |||

Hey Tim, hope others showed up. Have to take my daughter to the air port to return to school in NH this morning. Wife was not cool with me be out having fun while she shed a tear (or two!). If not, hope you had a good ride yesterday. I went with Swannie and the BMW crew down to Everglades City. Awesome place and great food. Ride, eeeh, kinda straight shot!! But a good day. Hoping I'm not on call for work for the next ride. I SHOULD be off that first weekend. See ya then. Mike | |||

I will be there. Ronin1 (Jim) is coming, riding his new Triumph. I think some of my friends from my Meetup group may come. One guy from the Tampa area is coming to meet up in Lakeland. Another says 20 or so are going by a different route. I plan to be there at 8:00. I am pretty pumped about it. The idea came about from Marty that runs Buelletin Board. I have a "not all in straight lines" route planned out. | |||

Buell Ride Sunday Feb. 5. Will meet at the Lakeland Harley Shop at 8:00, leaving at 8:30 sharp. Would like to have a head count of who all is coming. There is also a meeting of FL Riders in Mt. Dora the same day. Planning on riding up to the Mt. Dora meeting, for the Sunday Ride. Noticed on the board Harry is planning on riding up there also. If Harry plans on being at the Harley shop, he can lead us on the route he has planned. P.S. All Bavarians are welcome also. | |||
