Unfortunately I don't live in Phoenix. But, I just wanted to say hi. I live in Springerville and here's my TT. It has the "long touring seat"(nice). I commute 60 miles a day during the week and ride the forest roads to my fishing spots on weekends. TT is a Uly for the vertically challenged.  | ||

Yes Don, There is a SpringFast this year! Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. For those that miss this months ride, we'll be doing it again in September. Walknhigh, nice bike! we look forward to meeting you when we are up in your neck of the woods... Here's some pics from last weeks ride up to Prescott. Charley had just started his 30 day Leave, and John was off work, so the three of us went up for lunch. Weekdays are soooo SWEET!  Of course, I had to ruin everyone's day, by getting a flat tire.  Brand new tires, only about 200 miles on them, and I picked up a nail.  Luckily, someone pulled over to help, and they just happened to have a pump, and tire plugs! Yes, we got lucky! We motored on our merry way, and stopped again in Wickenburg at the rest area on the east side of town.  It was a fun ride, and a gorgeous day, I really support sick days, and riding to cure the mid-week blahs... | ||

the plug is still holding, but i think the fix a flat stuff we used to find the hole is throwing the balance off. I'm taking it in to get the tire pulled and plugged right, then re-balanced. | ||

Kim, Springfast is this weekend. Daytime temps in Springerville and Alpine, AZ will be 65 degrees. Nights are about 45 degrees. It is 100 degrees in Phoenix, but it's brisk up in the high mountains. Deb and I will be in Colorado the middle of June for the S2 gathering in Buena Vista. I'm sure the weather will be decent then also. You know, it's ok if you don't have an S2, you can still go.  I know, I need to find some time to come out and do the crest, and perhaps the enchanted circle sometime this summer.  | ||

Bill, I'm riding up to Prescott for lunch on Tuesday with someone from work. I'll be on the Harley though, since the S2 is getting new tires, and the oogly has a front isolator going out. We're meeting up in Wickenburg at the first rest area around 9AM. Springfast has come and gone. It was a great trip, and we had lots of fun. The weather was certainly a challenge. A little rain here and there, lots of sunshine, and even a brief hail storm thrown in for good measure. Kelly picked up a used Kawasaki Concourse, and took it on the ride for a shakedown. It's a nice bike, and can haul lots of cargo.  Wycked showed up,  and rode with us as far as Christopher Creek where we stopped for a break.  I'm not sure how my GPS recorded THIS top speed, my oogly certainly isn't capable of this, but it IS fun to show people and lead them on. LOL  It was a gorgeous morning as we headed south on 191. Kelly almost bagged a turkey a few miles from Hannigans Meadows.  There was lots of wildlife out there, (besides us) and we spotted lots of deer. We followed these two a ways before they got tired of us following them and climbed up the hill, and out of sight. (look close, they are in front of Kelly in the road)  we ran into a few sprinkles on the way down.  After we had lunch, we came out to a downpour. Raingear cured that problem, and we headed north, back up 191. The road had some loose spots down towards Morienci, but was sweet farther north. We ran into hail about 20 miles south of Hannigans, that was different! LOL Springfast wouldn't be complete without a happy dance! This one's for Charlieboy...  We had a pretty good time partying the last night, and passed around the Goldshlager.  Monday morning it was time to go. Amazing how fast three days goes by when your having so much fun...  The ride back into town was pretty slow, we ran into Andrew at the Salt River Canyon. We stopped in Globe for brunch, and then headed on our merry way. Debbie and I had a great time, it was alot of fun. It's always great getting out of town and enjoying the curves with good people. More folks should try it sometime! | ||

Yup, 95 900SS/CR Thought I was riding next to you the other day. XB9S pulled onto Union Hills at 75th down to the I-17, but realized the shock spring was blue. Couldn't see a face in the helmet, and the lights were kind so most of the time it was switch backing through traffic. | ||
