Myself, Sleeping Buelly, Oldog, and Webe converged on the M2nc and Ulywife compound to be greeted by two HUGE Sheepdogs and two adorable children, one teenager and the incredible smell of food cooking! The two new bikes parked out front:

Apparently I fell asleep adfter such a long day and proceeded to get a facial from the Sheepdog, but I can't tell you what I was deaming about!!
Next day we saddle up and head for the coast:

Parking was scarce in this lil seaside village but Carlos said that this place was great for burgers:

ONce inside the fun and partying began style!

Elvis was spotted outside, i think Brina is trying to figure out if that green purse Oldog id holding will match his pink thong in October!

Carlos seen something that made his face turn, hmmmmm, maybe it was the 2012 model Buells being secretly parked next to our group:

Next stop was the beach to let the youngins walk in the sand. Carlee liked the Z!

NIce to day to hook yorself to a huge kite and see if it will drag you across the water!

I'm wondering if that harness would be a great thing for the pillion rider to hang on to!!

Nice post,

Oldog, how you liking your 1125? Would love to hear your impressions now as to when you bought it. I have become "used" to mine now and enjoy it all the more.

Love the pics U4euh! We are so very glad that you guys came to visit. Maybe next time the weather will cooperate for the last day of riding. Would love for Tonya to join us as well.

Now that you know where we are, you're welcome to come and visit anytime. We're picking up a hide-a-bed sofa at the end of the month and the pool will be coming down...more room for visitors!

Yea thats my daughter, her back was hurting her,( she doesn't ride enough to build those muscles)! I have been feeling really well thanks. I can get tired pretty quick sometime as stated above with the lovely sheepdog!

Tonya wishes she was able to come. The rain the rain the rain. There is always that one point when riding in the rain when you realize that it futile to try and stay dry, sit up and get soaked, and wait for the it-the-cold-wet-stream-trickling-down -the-crack-of-your-perfectly-dry-leather-pants! Then it continues down the back of legs into my waterproof boots, which by the way are still drying out!!! LOL but I was riding and that alone makes me happy!!
Thanks again

Hey Jim..

Remember that water crossing at Buelltoberfest 2?

On the way home I ran through axle deep water, at a spot on the old shaw highway.
I told Kristi I was going to kid you about
that, the 1125 did ok, Im glad I was wet already =) my boots and britches filled up about an hour out from the house..

BTW I got the liner out PM me with your address, its "Jumbo Patite" but it will go under your textile jacket, and help keep you dry.

Yeah "Myspace" mopped your face good,
perhaps at BTF3 I may take you up on the Z1 ride

that balancing quarter trick was great!

Jpowell It ran great, on a "romp" with U4 we dropped back and nailed the throttles
at about 8k the front end rose up, come to think of it the front wheel was in the air a couple of times that weekend.

I cant ride that bike to its potential, my intention is to ride it carefuly and get used to its character. with a better seat and higher bar position and lower pegs it would be a killer sport tourer.

I slamed into a water crossing at 20+ mph and other than losta flying water and a bad scare no drama, the mirrors are causing some minor issues, I am debating "fixing" them my self or letting them go on warranty.

We need a head count for Chickens

It was a great time!First time I got to go for a good ride since the stint in the hospital, first time I got to wring the Z's neck, she also likes to stand up!

Come on I was thinking of "The Harness". I mean can't you imagine being in back of that and holding on. Specially when you lean into the curves and have to put a knee down, better leverage means better control!

Oldog- I might have some 'S' pegs laying around the building if you want those also!

Old Dog, looking in the rear view mirror and seeing the 1125R point hard skyward left me in stitches for most of the crystal coast. Was that part of the "cautiously and learning" phase you talked about? Kind comes up quick doesn't it?

The ride was definitely fun. I always enjoy the ride to coast, even when the weather decides not to cooperate. The ride home I tried to hit the best roads, nothing to technical around here, and pick up the pace a bit. Coming off of River rd to the outcrop to 118, the road falls off in the middle of that ess-curve. I hit it quick enough that the bike for a brief second was airborne. Gravity pulled us down quickly and I still do not know if the squeal I heard was the tires or Smilee. I am betting on the latter.

On Monday, I failed as a meteorologist. The rain continued to develop all the way west. On the way out I took U4 through some of the better roads in Green County. At some point we picked up an unmarked LEO. It was pretty funny because I did not notice him until we got out of the fun stuff and were on boring straight section. I was not going all that fast since the roads were wet, but like normal I slowed down on the straight sections. We must have been 1/4 mile ahead of the LEO at that point and already running the speed limit by the time he got out of the last corner. The LEO WOT until he caught up to us. Must not have been able to catch anything illegal because he just hung around back there for a few miles and we parted ways.

Webe, I am still enjoying the Ice Cream.

Jimmy-in-nc, one of the best rides I have been on involved four Ulys, so one more last weekend would have been great. The whole thing started as a get U4 out of the house ride. His daughter and mine are friends from rides where Smilee rode with me to his house, so they always like getting together. From there we called a few others to join in the fun but I do not think we actually posted up on the C3 page. I am not sure why we didn't. I guess we figured we know all the folks on this side of the state with Buells. Next time we do a coastal ride, or any other ride like this we will post up on C3.

"Cones up quick", thats a under statement..
I was slowly and cautiously exploring the area of the tach north of 7K, I just happened to be on the back wheel at the time {as a result of said action}} =)

I wish that I had more room at the beach
I would love to have the group down for a meal and "get together" that was great..

Jimmy In Nc you would have been more than welcome, hey they let me hang around when Im on my noisy ol X1
