I let them bid against each other for my buiseness as SHELDONS pissed me off severely when I walked in w/ 8k in cash wanting to leave w/ a bike...(errr...don't get me going...LOL) Then I went to Precission and same thing...Sales guy was a royal D!CK!!!! I then got smart and let them bid against each other by emailing them all looking for the best price...I let them know right off the back THAT PRICE was my ONLY concern and that I knew how they deal w/ "Buellers" and I had no interest in the service agreement or anything else.... Once offers started coming in I forewarded all them emails to other dealerships and then the ones that were willing to bid for my buisiness kept emailing me w/ offers..... Pete @ Eddison came up w/ the best deal each time, he was relentless as I was... I got a brand new 2004 xb12R for 7800.00 out the door, He was a champ to deal with me like he did. And the key is to do like Scotty said....PATIENCE!!!! Dealerships are agressive and you need to play the game to get the deal.... Hope this helps you out some! Maybe Precision will give you the 10% discount on a bike! Tripp is good people, and Sheldons is a BETTER dealership with him. I'm very excited to bring home the bike, however I'm willing to take my time and be patient. Ducxl; I'm very close to Danbury and I've been satisfied with them since I purchased my XB12Ss... I agree that Jeff is without a doubt a Buell ambassador over there, I don't know if he has any influence over prices. Right now they are just not willing to even entertain the idea of lowering the $970 dealer fee or MSRP. This would/could be my second purchase there in less than 10 months.... but I now have open offers from 4 dealers within 2 hours of here that are coming in way below that. Had you responded with: "Those greedy-a$$ futhermuckers didn't like my offer! They can take their crappy charging system-having 72 degree piece of purple monkey sh!t and shove it straight up the same place the Harleys come from!!!" ...I would sing a different tune. You have money. They want it. How much you give to them is up to YOU. And yes, this board rocks my lame a$$. Most of these guys are retards, but they corner pretty damn hard. Now go buy a T-shirt. I need to stay flexible because of the constantly changing climate.........so I would be probably last minute on our trips.   Ducxl Posted on Saturday, January 26, 2008 - 06:29 pm:        Everyone looks forward to riding with you in any capacity.Be it Pomfret or Padenarum I had a long hard day today.Spent time with my mechanic timing my valves and setting throttle bodies and belt tension.They no longer employ the sprung tension gage they use a sonic tool that measures frequency when you Twang the belt next to a special sensor.I NEED a "PC-III usb" thingyI'm running a special "single" injector chip but am supposed to leave BOTH injectors plugged in.Then the "PC-III" will correct the map."Weird combination". Never have i paid a dealership for service and been encouraged to participate with the Ducati specialist.He explained EVERYTHING.
