And here I am...only an hour late...

Greg - I can make my grandparents in Tiverton in just an hour from here - hauling the whole way, taking 146. There is a bridge closure once you get off of 146 so if this is the way you want to go I'll get you directions around the bridge.

I would suggest the Dunks in Grafton or in Upton at 140 & Hartford Ave - may be easier for Scotty. The Grafton Dunks is open 24/7 and so is the Xtra mart gas station on the way to the pike.

More or less 6 of 1 or half a dozen of the other in time.

Scotty - I don't think the authorities would much appreciate the 3 for 1 deal but good thinking. That reminds me...I still haven't put my bike on my transponder...I'll have to get on that tonight.

There could be a party here...the offer is still open and up to the takers. Just let me know you are coming. Don't worry about the time of arrival...just not only 2 hours before we have to leave...gotta get 'some' shut eye.

I'm headed out on the bike for a bit, I'll check back in when I get home.

Stayed upright today, so that is a good thing. I was scraping my kickstand in the corners, that was a little scary. I tried to take it off, but there is a snap ring that I just can't get a hold of keeping it on.

It started raining around 1pm, and a guy on a Gixxer high sided. He was ok, but they had to throw out the red flag for about an hour because there was oil and gas on the track. They couldn't get it fully off until later tonight, so they coned off the area, but it is right at the entrence to turn 11a which goes right into turn 12. You really need to have the right line to hit it good.

There were a ton of Ducatis there. Several 1098's as well. One guy lowsided his. He ground down his rear set pretty good, but other then some body damage, the bike was fine.

I will be going back in the morning. Now I have to get some sleep.

Hey Eric - glad you had a good day at the track! Keep it up tomorrow!!!

Well the ride didn't go as well as expected. I had adjusted my suspension back to what 'the book' said it should be for my weight. I've been riding with it set for having my girlfriend with me all the time. I'm not sure if I'm just used to that setting when alone or if I really lost some steering input. Straight lines and bumps were fine but it didn't feel as responsive.

I know the feel of the suspension is very subjective but does anybody have any input?

Also, the book confuses me on the description for the front pre-load. The picture says there are 3 lines showing but I see 4. Is 3 lines only what are full turns out from where you can just see the 4th coming out of the tree?

I didn't go to the track, but wish I did!

Erik is the man scrapping stuff off on the track! That's killer! Fun stuff like that gets the old blood flowing for sure!

No crashes make for a fun day also!

Next is putting the Knee down...Now that is scary stuff!!!!

Today my goal is to fine tune my body positioning and increase my corner entry speed.

The fact that I was scraping hard stuff on the bike but not getting the knee down means that I am either not hanging off enough, or not extending my knee. Either or, I am using more tire then I need to for that corner at that speed.

EB- My sage advice: Go very very fast. If something gets in your way... turn.

JP-I doubt I will ever understand suspension setup, either on my motorcycle, mountain bike, or even those crazy Nike running shoes with the stupid springs on them. But I did righty-tighty the Uly's rear end 'til it felt (subjectively) "right."

GREAT!!! Another John Cussak fan...or at least Better Off Dead...Do you know what the street value of this mountain is?

OK - for this weekend...the girlfriend is leaving Friday morning for work and staying at her mom's Friday night...so the gathering could very easily start at my place on Friday after 4:30 (when I can get home) and include beer and bbq! Feel free to drop by even if you're not planning on staying or riding to Laconia on Wednesday...just let me know who is planning on coming so I have enough food.

Web sites...never done one...I've heard stories of them being exceptionaly easy and exceptionaly mind boggling...I guess it all depends on your pc apptitude and your ability to stare at a computer screen all day.

Eric- Please don't learn how to do HTML. The engine tuning knowledge in your head is very valuable to us. If you learn something new, you might push some motorcycle smarts out of your brain.

We can't have that.

JP- I'd be happy to eat your food and drink your beer, but I won't be crashing on your couch. Upton, 140 & Hartford, Saturday morning will work.

Also, I PM'd you about MTN Biking Foxboro tonight. I guess I didn't learn my lesson last weekend. I know it's short notice, but you think you could make it?

Well, MTN Biking Foxboro got the best of me. I went down, took a little skin off of my knee, and sprained the crap out of my ankle- it looks like a softball right now. Had to pedal back to the trailhead with one foot.

I won't be back on the (motor) bike 'til I can hold it up with my hurt foot (left - shifting foot).

I'd better be better by Saturday, or I'm not going to be happy...

Wow, knee pucks don't last as long as I thought they did. My right knee is worn down pretty far and the plastic is blistering. My left is only half as worn as my right. I had so much fun today.

Rock garden?! That whole place is a rock garden. And I don't even know where I was, but it was 1/2 mile from the parking lot. And what was I thinking? I was doing a Greg: I didn't clean a technical section on the first try, so went back & tried again. I made the first part and then it was all over.

Sign me up, JP. I'll get a good rip of LWR disc 2 for you.

I'm still hobbling around. Riding to JP's tomorrow night will be the benchmark test as to whether or not 3 hours in the saddle to NH is a "good idea." I'll get outta here 'round 5 and head straight over. You gonna be able to make it, Greg? Any other NEBO goons?

OK so the address is 16 Pleasant Street Grafton, MA. Google maps and Mapquest have the address correct. If coming from the west ie 146 dont try to take the Boston Road exit (Bank of America at the lights) because there is a bridge at the south end of pleasant st that is closed. Second option is to continue on 146 to the exit for the Shoppes at Milbury Plaza (Elm Street). If looking at the Google maps in hybrid...I'm the little house just opposite Pullard where it comes out to Pleasant St (there is a house, a shed on the left side and a pool in the back yard (pool is gone now).

Greg - I'll call after 8:30 for more detail. Are you eating at home with the handcuffed wife or eating when you get here? No matter to me...we rarely eat before 8 anyway.

Scotty - get here whenever you can - we'll have plenty of munchies if you're an early eater... I hope that ankle is mending quick, lots of ice!!!

Oh yeah...I forgot to ask...what do you guys like to drink? I usually have either Guinness or one of the Sam Adams selections in the fridge. Let me know if you have other preferences...don't worry they won't go to waste if they are not all consumed tomorrow night...

Yeah, I figure a Guinness or two on top of a bunch of fire-cooked meat & I'll be OK. I'll be headed home first to knock out a few things, but I'll be at JP's 'round 7.

Breakfast at NH Scott's? This just keeps getting better! If only gas prices would drop for the weekend.

Woke up this morning and I could walk!! Stairs are still a bit of a challenge, but I can hold my body weight up on my injured side, so I'm sure I can hold the bike up.

Back on the bike! But I don't think I'll be mtn biking on Sunday, or for the next few Sundays.

Scotty - Thanks for disc 2...I've been dying to get to the rest of the show! I'm going to try to make your weekend even better still...the water jet is running the the guy I need to help me program it has free time this afternoon! Glad to hear the ankle is in working condition! Are you camping out at my place tonight or heading home?

Firebolteric...Greg mentioned you may be coming tomorrow pending your sons game outcome...let us know ASAP so we can set up a meeting point.

Greg - don't worry about the consumption rate...what doesn't get drank tonight will not go bad in the fridge. We'll be up and ready to go with not problem in the morning. I even have one of those fancy coffee makers that automatically starts so we'll have some home brewed joe before we head out!

Is it 3:30 yet??? I want to get this weekend going!!!
