I wish I was off for that long...I would ride and ride... As it is, we'll be rolling in around 5 p.m. on Friday...hopefully enough time to get camp set up before beers and dinner... I told the crew in USA that there was a problem in NAT, I told the crew in NAT there was a problem at USA. These crews don't really get along, kind of like a competition thing, rather than a team thing. So, once everyone thought there was a problem ... I left... Early! I'm off until next Thursday! w00t! Got my parts in today!! thanks smokescreen.And saintly!! Tearing the bike apart for stater and voltage reg. Off from work till wed. Have to go get 1 more socket and will work my a$$ Tomorrow to get it back running to leave thur.I was also a moble 1 gear oil user. Any one usesing it change!! and have a spare stator and voltage reg ready.Also took out battery 10 mo old. | ||

I'm going to start loading the bike tonight!! Take it for a test ride. Get filled up with gas, pick up some snacks. I wonder what one thing I am going to need the most that will get left behind. I'm sure I wont figure that out until I need it!  | ||

I'm debating routes right now. Get there ASAP and endure ~4 hours of interstate followed by ~1.5 hours of mostly two-lane, or enjoy the backroads most of the way and take 7 hours to get there? Decisions, decisions. Anyway I slice it, I don't hit the twisties until I'm ~30 minutes from Suches. It sucks living so far from the mountains. | ||

I now run Syn3, and Formula + exclusively. I hate burning things up. 2 stators in less than 50,000 miles is too often for me. | ||

wife's looking forward to getting out of town and if nothing else go into helen to check out some of the things over there but i hope once she starts riding up there that she will truly enjoy what it has to offer. finish going over the bikes tomorrow along with checking out the trailer and setting up the gps, pack some food and clothes and head out thursday bright and early. | ||

Toona, Dales BP is right across the street, the only thing you cant get is Beer and liquor. TWO has some of the best food you can get for being in BFE, bike wash, showers, pool, firepits, pool table, tv, fireplace, and great spots to sit and rest. | ||

I'm Completely packed up (minus a tooth brush)!!! And the bike has not dripped one drop of oil since I put it all back together last night and went for a short ride. I also went for a quick loop with the bags on there. They're solid as a rock! Just cleaned 'er all up too! SOOO READY!   | ||

I'd like to take this time before MB gets started to thank New12r & Brave Angel. He has gone above and beyond for the 3%ers. He's given Barn access to all that have needed it. Saturday was supposed to be a Barn morning, it turned into a Barn Day. For that, I'd like to thank Brave Angel for being sooooo understanding, and having patients with us. While I'm at it, I'd like to thank Smokescreen, Clown, and the folks at Stone Mountain H-D & Buell for everything they've done. From loaning tools to bring parts home with them to save me a trip. Also, Silverbullet for helping out with sorting out my electrics after my tail conversion. Without him, I'd have to take the tail section apart just to change a fuse. Wolfridgerider a big thumbs up to you too for coming south to swap tails. I know you got what you wanted out of the deal, but to come all the way down here, was above and beyond. StealthXB, thanks for helping me keep my head right, getting me out of a jam after painting myself into a corner. Last and certainly not least, Mrs Glitch, for everything! Everyone I've missed in the post, or non-BadWeBbers Thanks for all you've done. I've just got back from a nice ride and suspension tweaking. I think now I'm ready to head up. I'll be leaving with Silverbullet, and Shred early Friday morning. Can't wait to start riding, meeting, greeting, riding, partying, riding, bullshitting, and did I mention riding? |
