Seth, the Lyndal gold pads get ride of rotor deposits which cause pulsing. I put a set on last week and am pleased with them. They are 50 something dollars, which is about what stock is, but they are better pads. |

Seth, Keith hooked me up with a set for $35. SHHHHH don't tell anyone. I think they were EBC green. He uses them on the racebike. NUTS |

This year I've asked Mr.Claus to keep me from sliding across the pavement. Here's hoping that wish isn't too late. I did get my trusty Bent Mnt-BRP route in today. 37 miles of motorcycle bliss, what more can a lowlife like me ask for! I hope you all have a good one or two or, hell I wish you ALL, all the best. Nuts, If you are "Windchill" that is a serious fire trail machine. Now your getting back to job specific machines. Just be careful, alot of those trees(the big ones)don't move.........Charlie |

Yeah but Charlie I don't want to end up like our friend Seth. He's a good kid and all, but the Uly is enough bike on the pavement. I know I need knobbly tires and a lighter weight to ride offroad. Who knows maybe I'll get some practice and give the ole "Charlie Wilson Power Slide" a try. NUTS |

Nuts, Don't do that off road stuff by yourself, those cell phones don't work down in most of those ravenes. It's a great way to get in shape and hone your skills at the same time, but be very cautious.........Charlie |

Jason, go with a dr350. 650 is not as much fun for your intended use. |

I am thinking the 350 is a better choice but there aren't any within 50 miles for $1500. I guess the price is what's getting my attention. A fellow in C'Burg sold a 1994 DR650 w/4500 miles in March for around $1900. I figured I might be able to talk this guy down to $1200, who knows. Seth are we riding/wrenching this week. I'm off starting Wed morning until Monday morn. Wahooo. Charlie, thanks for looking out for my less than sensible side. I often get images of only the best things in my head. NUTS has a way of fogging over the consequences. |

I often get images of only the best things in my head. I was rootin' for ya, dude! I really wish I had a place to turn a machine like that loose. I really can't let the Buell loose around here without possible "infringement". Tank |

Jason, As light as you are, the more you have to choose from. The lighter the bike the greater the fun factor. Wrestling a 650 will get tiresome real fast, also a whole lot easier to pull up outta that ravene. That 650 does great "roosts" and power wheelies, but will wear you out in the tight stuff(which is where you really learn how to ride)IMO..............Charlie |

Jason, Due to the dealership's problem of salesman quitting/leaving, my vacation time that has been scheduled for this week was disallowed in favor of someone who was just on vacation for 7 days at thanksgiving to have another week off through the new year. (that is quite a run-on sentence) So, I will be off some next week, when everybody is back at work. Seth |

Charlie, that'd be a BMW GS Adventure. King of high mileage Adventure Bikes. Not uncommon for one to run easily over 100,000 without need of clutch or final drive refresh. But a new one is gonna set ya back $18,000. There have been a number of instances of Buell and HD being less than anticipated in all facets of business. I do believe in the XB platform and wouldn't want to trade my Uly for any other single bike right now. I would consider trading straight up for a well suited M2 (with dual discs up front, x1 cams and XB heads) as well as a long distance "big bike." This however will not be happening and I am quite pleased so. NUTS |

Charlie, Hired two salesman since april. One left inside 3 months. The other made it six months. I do not mind being the only sales guy$$. But it also means that my time off gets overlooked since I am "low-man" on the pole even after six years. seth |

Charlie, Still haven't got my cat. May have the other night but as soon as Ole' Nuts flashed the light and saw the eyes he started screamin' "I SEE EYE SHINE"!! I didn't bust his chops too bad since I need a guy to run the light. Even though he is loud, smells like an aftershave factory and squirms like he is covered in fire ants we still have fun on most outings . So when are you gonna invite us down for a good ole' SC style predator hunt LOL? |

Charlie, I didn't know if SC had any public land like Va does. I guess I am spoiled and just assumed everybody had it as good as us in the Commonwealth State . Maybe we can head down and do some riding and fishing when it warms up a bit. Now I know there has got to be some places to do some public fishing. Course' maybe you have some fear about being around Ole' Nuts when he is toting sharp hooks or loaded guns. I can assure you he has become quite proficient at both and has only shot me one time. Not to worry though I have an extra lung and wasn't really using my spleen all that much anyway |

Jackie, I'm not worried about being shot by Nuts(my brother took care of that years ago) just lucky it was only #6 shot ricocheting off a railroad bed.The only safe place was on that rabbit's 6. Now there's not any "Cheney" blood line there is there? I have plenty of Large Mouth,10 yds from my back door(if you don't mind sharing with the "gator") he is quite the opportunist. Nuts there's nothing wrong with being a riding addict, as long as your not using a firearm at the same time. I'll bet a scabbard would look good on the Uly. Does your's still fall over when you get off? Myabe you could fab. a soft ground plate(to put under your kick stand) You know SC doesn't have a helmet law, so you could wear your "Safari" head gear while working the trail, opps, Jackie told me not to tell that one, sorry Jackie. |

Charlie, I told Nuts to strap a rolled up mattress to his saddlebags. That way when he stops he can put it beside the old Uly and when it falls over the mattress will prevent any new scratches. Course' it already has so many scratches and dings I ain't real sure if more would even be noticeable HARDEEHARHAR!! Sounds like you have just what me and Ole' Nuts have been searching for right in your back yard. We could go for a ride, then catch some good ole' bucketmouths and then you could watch me and Nuts try to catch that gator. Don't worry we won't hurt him just want to snap a few pics to remember him by. So is this a trip in the making or just Charlies' sick way of teasing us about his awesome Largemouth fishery? |

Don't bite Charlie, Jackie has a habit of last minute bailing! He's just trying to temper the "cabin fever" that has set in since he's run short on varmint annihilation lately. Last time out the dude didn't even get to shoot a raccoon. Unlike another famous poster we have in residence who will be out riding today regardless of the wet and cold. What a way to start the new year! NUTS |
