If I can surpass this obstacle to make it to the Smoke Out, you can surely wait until next week to take care of your stuff.

lol - You're single.

I should note, that the day I went to Deals Gap, I woke up to discover that the house had no hot water. I attempted and failed to relight the pilot of the water heater. So I wake the girl up at 6 something am and ask her if she can take care of it. She says "sure." I have a great woman.

It is worse than I expected. Got to looking around and notice a two inch gap between the blower and the duct work. So we have essentially been cooling the underside of the house. Which inturn caused the AC to run 24/7, which inturn started the hunt for this problem! So a friend of the family is coming over as I type to help me replace it. Won't be going anywhere today I suspect, but maybe tommorrow I will be there.

All day running A/C= very large power bill, I just can't let this one go.

power bills in general suck, much less when you're cooling the outside. Hope you can get it fixed quickly and without too much more $$ flying out the window.

It's times like this when it would be nice to call the landlord and say "come and fix it"!

Watch out about putting the stickers on the plastic bodywork. It will lift to top layer of the finish off if you try to move it.

Heating before removal attempt may help.

SM - glad you got the decal. If you want/need more, just let me know. We can also get magnets for your vehicle if you're interested. Lots of us have put it on the back of our helmets. The kids love their C3 jr. decals on their helmets.

Thanks again for a great design.

The company that I work for moved my family and I to Charlotte a little over three months ago from Indianapolis. I recieved a call last Wed from my boss and he asked if we would move to Wilmington, NC. Well..........Were moving again. It's too good of a deal to pass up. The only problem it's a lot farther from the mountains. I'll be working a lot of hours for awhile but I'll have more money to add another another Buell to my garage in the future.

Cyclone - Sorry about the stress of moving, but congrats on the jobs. You'll be down there with Oldog.

I grew up in Wilmington. I left in 1985, so it's changed a lot, but I can still find my way around. It's a LOT smaller than Indianapolis or Charlotte, but it's not a little town anymore. It's close to the beach, has a nice university, and a nice feel to it.

It is very very flat. Thats a bit of a down side for motorcycling, but it's wonderful for the pedal variety of bike.

Cyclone -- congrats on the new position. Wilmington is a great area. As JimN said, Oldog is there and has been looking for other Buell riders.

There's also several of us within a reasonable distance to Wilmington. The great thing about C3 is it doesn't matter what part of NC you live in!

Keep us posted and let us know when you get settled.

HI Guys. I checked in with "y'all" last week after purchasing my new XB12s. I have been very busy on it. 1 week=1047 miles and it is now getting its first service. The question I have is, where do you guys go to get your bikes tuned? I am due a completion bonus from work and I am looking into getting the Drummer set up. I think my biggest challenge will be to get the ECM (seems to be in short supply). Also, can some of you give me some advice about pipes and sound? I am trying to decide on econo, original or SS. I want to make sure I don't under do it as this will be my only performance upgrade. I don't want to end up being annoyingly loud as I live in a neighborhood (for now), but I am not going to build my bike completely around my neighbors' needs either. Any suggestions about setup combinations (pipe, ecm or not, mapping, filter, etc)will be greatly appreciated. My inclination is to get the parts I need and drive down to Hickory for pipe, install and setup.

Thanks,
Escham

Hey Escham,

Glad you're enjoying the bike. I'm not qualified to answer any of your questions. :-( Bigdaddy is from your neck of the woods, but I believe he does most of his own services. I use Ray Price, but they aren't very close to you.

Olddog- I will look you up when I get settled. Are you moving out of Wilmington or just to a new location in Wilmington? I was there last week but I was working 15-16 hrs a day and it will be the same next week. The movers are moving us next weekend. It's going to be crazy for a while but we will get through it. The wife and kids are looking forward to living close to the beach but I will just be dreaming of riding in the mountains again.

Cyclone - For a great beach close to Wilmington, we went to Top Sail Island for the past 2 weekends. Parking with walkways to the beach, showers to rinse off under and rest rooms. We set up a great canopy and the children played for hours. How old are your children?

As for the mountains, they're only a short drive away. Hopefully things will slow down for you and you can make weekend getaways.

Escham, I bought my xb9s used,w/no warranty.I've been doing my own work on it, once with some friends help. Sooner or later ,I'll be forced to try out HD of Greensboro for something I can't do on my own. If you're considering the S/S Drummer, you should call as soon as you can. Even then you will be in for a long wait. I think the turnaround on the other pipes is alot faster. I'm sure Kevin D. can answer all of your questions regarding the setup. When my pipe is finished, I'm gonna haul the bike down for installation and a tps reset. I guess my neighbors will have to get over it...just kidding. It's not too loud, and I rarely pull out for work at 5:15am on the Buell. Whatever you choose, hope you enjoy it. If you want to meet up sometime, I'm just off Wendover, not too far from I-40 in Greensboro. Later...

Hey, guys just talked to my Step-sister(due to some medical problems with my Step-Dad), and I found out she is working at Greensboro HD. Can you say employee discount? Anyway, spent some time with my Son today and rode down to Beaufort and looks like the tall ships are going to be quite a big deal next week. Even did some really light offroading in my truck, but all the 4wd trails are gone down there. Later guys.

Good Morning, We had a great weekend. It was allot of fun and its time to trek across the state back home. I waiting to see if we hook up with Sporty Mark or not for part of the ride home. Haven't decided the route so I do not know if we will be going by you U4euh. Anyway, we still need to be beautified so we will be heading home in about an hour (You know it take 1313 time to look that good).

Cyclone -- best of luck to you and your family on this move. I can't even imagine moving twice in 3 months.

U4euh - glad you got your A/C fixed.

X9bser - thanks for having Carlos and Brankin this weekend. I know Carlos really needed a weekend away and time to ride.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend.
