Make sure to get a toll from the patients tomorrow when you are moving them about because a toll is a toll and if we don't get no tolls then we don't eat no rolls.

Jason,
I am going to have to bail yet again. The sun caused a severe reaction this morning which was so bad I had to call the game an inning early. As I write this I am sitting here with the Epipen at the ready so no mouth from you this time Mr.!
What is your work schedule tomorrow?

Man you ain't lyin'! I have slept around 35 hours in that timeframe due to the antihistamines and after effects of the event. I still feel run down and hammered but have a game tonight so have to roll out of bed. I am hoping it is cancelled because of the weather to give me one more day of rest. Haven't had one quite like this in over a year.
How are things on your end? Were you able to get in any riding or outdoor time in over the weekend?

Nothing terribly exciting. Drove the Xterra down to Floyd and stopped in at the GS in Christiansburg. I was ready to buy should I see something to suit my fancy. Too bad the old guy continued to be a PECK! Is it too much to ask to have your questions answered without being made to feel like a scumbag? We'll I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time. There will not be a third. He seems to be doing just fine without my compulsive purchases. Went by RF today: still no word on either firearm. DC did say he would throw on a set of fiber optic/night sights with any other handgun purchase. I was eyeing a full size Glock 40.. But as usual I am NUTS.

I'll be off tomorrow and Thursday.

Man you ought to seriously hold off until we hit Dominion again. They prolly got just what you are looking for sitting on the rack just waiting for our visit.
Got another game tomorrow (won tonight 7-1). Hopefully the girls won't be burnt out and will play just as hard as they did today. Thursday is our pizza party but maybe we can work something during the A.M. since the weather is supposed to be decent.

Dude called today. Looks like it will be going through perhaps next week with a trip to Dominion following in short order.
By the way, I found a recipe for Starling breast so we can kill them guilt free now. We take the breasts and leave the rest for our furry predator friends.

I believe I am going to break out the Cannondale tomorrow myself. I'm gonna start with a bit o' roadwork to build up the cardio again and then hopefully hit Explore Park within the next few weeks. Your welcome to join me but I figured blacktop wouldn't suite your wild and crazy style.
Looks like I am making a trip to Hamburg Pa. for the Reptile Expo and to drop off a few animals. There is a Bass Pro Shop there so maybe you should give some thought about riding with me. I think you would enjoy the expo since it is largely dedicated to venomous reptiles. Maybe you can pick you up a nice Bushmaster or Black Mamba to put on display in your living room. I am contemplating getting back into Gila Monsters and may pick up a 1.2 (one male, two females) while I'm there if I can get the right deal.
We would leave on Friday June 2nd and come back the following evening. I'll cover the hotel cost as well as meals should you decide to share the driving with me.

Nutso,
I see how its gotta be. Your schedule ALWAYS screws up my plans!
Went for a nice ride today (the 2 wheeled motorized kind) and hooked up with a CBR and Ninja at a stopsign. Rode together for about 45 minutes and then had to bring it home so I could get ready for ball. They were pretty quick in the straight aways but in the turns could barely hang with even my pathetic riding abilities. I guess that just says a lot about the Buell huh?
I tell you though looking at them side by side I can see why many people think the Buell is a 500 class bike. All that bodywork on the imports make them look huge.

Did I miss something? It sounds like you're riding another mans machine. Is that thing sold or what?

I went for a little hike yesterday and did indeed get myself "off trail." No biggie, just followed the creek back out to the main trail an hour later. I did see a good deal of bait in the water and a nice Smallymouth. I was a little preoccupied looking out for snakes sunning themselves on the rocks I was climbing over. I have plans to demo a kayak on Sunday. I'm told there is a lake accesable through Ferrum that is nice for learning. So I think I'll be heading through Franklin county early Sun. morning. I need to get myself back in the water and since my fishing buddy is incommunicado...

Had to charge the battery up my brother. Can't be selling the dude a machine with a bad battery now can I?
Where did you go hiking at? Usually no need to worry about the snakes around water this far west in Va. We don't have Cotton mouths in our vicinity and Rattlers aren't usually associated with water. You may stumble across a Copperhead near water on occassion but no worries, there hasn't been a documented fatality in Va. from this species.
What say to some late afternoon fishing tomorrow? Weather is supposed to be nice.
Good luck on the Kayak adventure but that one is definately a solo proposition. I'd probably fall out relatively quickly in one of those unless we went late in the evening and kayaking in the dark just doesn't sound very appealing.

Hey yo Jack... did you get that Omega on RF central? If so maybe we can work out a deal for the transfer of the Sportster in Mach II he has. He wants $200 and I'd gladly pay that especially if we can get them both shipped and papered same time/place. Give me a shout later and we'll see. NUTS

Nuts,
I did snag the Omega. I am hoping this will encourage you to keep yours so I have a muzzleloading partner. Now that we really know the lay of the land we can get some good scouting in during Squirrel season and get a weeks' jump on the other 4 guys.
Since it is a primitive weapon no FFL is required and he will be mailing it directly to my house. He seems like a good fella so if you just can't wait for the Dominion trip contact him and see what you can work out. RF will charge you $25.00 to accept the gun and shipping will be around $25.00.
Let me know about Sunday as soon as you can so I can get the trap out.

Keep pondering my dilemma and see if you can come up with a solution mechanically or otherwise LOL!! I'm desperate here.
How is the shoulder? We need to head back up next weekend and try it again with the sandbag on your shoulder. Never fear we'll get her dialed in on the next trip.

You can see if he wants to buy my Lightnig instead. $7500 cash NOW! Of course. I've been thinking about taking the wife on a ride here or there but would need the Uly to get it done.

The shoulder is doing alright. Pretty sore last night but I'll manage. Next weekend sounds good. I was having fits last night dreaming of .17's and that Kimber .22. As usual I'm NUTS.

Hey yo Jack, does anyone make a M2 round in a hollowpoint? I know only 2 companies make M2 (Eley, and CCI.) It looks like they might be producing a 20 grain bullet for the end of summer. Why do I want a Mach2? I was thinking that while I really enjoy predator hunting I cannot see myself taking many critters. I would be perfectly happy going along for the ride and harvesting game to rid ourselves of the carnivores taking the real game. I just cannot see myself spending $ for stuffing. Now a rug here or there is one thing but I know you want rugs and mounts for the basement. I wan to re-iterate that I do enjoy it and I would like to continue going but I really want a nice squirrel gun with some good optics. I can't say the 10/22 fits the bill. A nice M2 however with sweet, clear magnification sounds pretty good. I'd like to keep the 10/22 and go back to using the sights for goofing around with.
Man I am all over the place with indecision! It's kind of fun though. NUTS

Nuts,
All the ammo I know of for the M2 is loaded with the Vmax bullet (polymer tip).
As long as you stick with head shots only you won't have a problem. I am just not willing to pass on taking dinner if they do not present a perfect shot so went back to the .22 which allows for more shot opportunities without wasted meat.
Then again if you are stuck with only getting one gun it may be a very good choice for you. The ability to use it for predators at a reasonable distance plus it can be used for bushy tails (once again head shots only). The HMR is certainly too much gun for squirrels and would be a waste for you if you are not sure about the predator hunting long term.
If you are going for the M2 I still think you ought to save and get something really nice. That way you won't have to or want to upgrade later on down the road. I would seriously consider the Kimber Classic Varmint like I traded in up at Dominion. Gun and scope would set you back about $1200.00. Since squirrel season doesn't open until September just save through the Summer and do it right. That way you won't have to buy an aftermarket trigger or have the action bedded since it comes from the factory all set up to drive tacks.
