Nope. Emma is way too excited to watch the race. And there's no way I'm taking her to a smokey bar.

I've always been a fan of the red too, Chirs. I'll bet it looks great!

My first track day on the new bike is Monday. I feel like it's the weekend before Christmas. But now, each present is 20 minutes long, and I can open as many as my body can handle.

Okay, I just got off work and was heading south down 121 (btwn Grpvn and Bedford) and another XB9SX pulled on at the Cheek-Sparger on-ramp. I tried to pull over so we could chat at Central, but the rider pulled a U-turn and disappeared. Fess up! Who was that? There was no lettering on the frame, it sounded stock, and the rider kept it right at 60. If I'm describing you, let us know who you are (also consider not wearing shorts next ride too - not very safe).

Saturday at 3:45 pm I was heading south on Hwy 156 (North Fort Worth) and while stopped at the red light at Meacham Blvd. an orange Uly heading west came up to the intersection. I tried waving him over but he turn right heading north on Hwy 156 and kept going. He wasn’t in a hurry so I thought about turning around and catching up to him, but I had to pee, just left UIS, so I decided WTH. What’s up with these phantom riders? Don’t they want to socialize?

We need to have a secret hand signal or sumpthin, or find all the registered buell in dfw, and MAKE them join up!
I know I am allways amazed at the percentage of riders who wave, back in cali, most didn't, even like makes!

"Thunderbikes of North Texas" is the official BRAG chapter in the DFW area! "TNT" is the beginning of a new era in getting DFW Buellers together to ride and have fun.

The paperwork has been signed and will be sent in first thing this morning. We should have our charter back in a couple of days.

Thanks to all who participated in generating ideas and voting!

I will go ahead and ask the question since there are a few of us who have either had Buell's or ride with friends with Buell's. Now that TNT will be official, what about the likes of Kelly, Tall Viking riding the beemer and I. All of us love the Buell, but don't currently have one. Should we or could we be involved in the meetings and affairs of the OFFICIAL TNT BRAG.

Kelly and I both ride V-twins just not American ones, anyone have any issues with us being apart of TNT. Is there an official reason, i.e. rules of BRAG that would rule us out of being apart of TNT?

Asking because I have a Heck of a time riding with you guys and gals!

Micah, there is NO WAY...

...that we're gonna let you out of the group!

Once the charter is in place and the dust has cleared, we'll get the info out on all the possible ways to participate - heck, you won't even need an in-vite (as we say here in Texas)!

Thanks for the support Chris! I can't wait to run the Tiller with the Buells. I also want to get a crack at that R6. See if I can get Dago to slap that 18K chasing my butt down the long straights of these Texas Highways.

HEHEHE!

Ortega, I really do lean in the corners! I will show ya on the tiller. I might even scrape a knee or two, but you got to promise to replace your DOMED rear tire on that firebolt.

Chris, if I am the BRAG Photog, wouldn't that qualify me to be a memeber?????

Bring it to the track...

I'm ready. Trust me.

That r6 is one crazy b1tc#. It was unbelievably confidence inspiring. I've never felt that comfortable at those speeds on my XB.(period)

After my track day Monday, my rear tire looks like it should. I was moved from level 2 (adv street) to level 4 (racer lic.) after my second session. After doing 4 20-minute session with those guys, I'd rate myself in the bottom 20% of that group. I was certainly getting passed. But I did some of my own as well.

Ortega, I finally figured out that triple apex move on the back side of MSR. You can carry some sick corner speed through there. And while coming out of it into that small straight before Big Bend is the perfect time to get a run on someone using a slightly more squared off exit to get greater ground speed so you can stuff them going into Big Bend. Man it was beautiful. Figuring that out has been my single greatest experience ever on two wheels or four.

I had it broken in on the dyno before the track day. 109.83 rwhp / 43.8 ft lbs of torque / 183 mph top speed. I think with a full system and pc3 I could easily see 120 rwhp. She's pretty fast for a 600 and was pulling power wheelies coming out of Big Bend in 3rd and 4th gears with my 200 lbs trying to hold her down.

I can't wait to ride with you all again. And it's nice to hear I'm still welcomed around here after my conversion to the dark side.

Have a great day all!

We'll definitely look at it, Angela! We're open to any and all ideas.

How was the ride last Sunday? I was able to get out of the house for about 45 minutes and blast up to Lucas, over to 546, and half way to McKinney before turning around and heading back into the WIND!!!

Chris,

First, congratulations on the BRAG chapter!

Second, have you ever considered swapping out your front-end with an R faring? It helps a great deal with the wind blast. I honestly don't notice it much anymore.

I definitely prefer RideSmart.

It's half the price with twice the customer service and attention. I really enjoyed the fact that the track marshal black flagged me mid-session to move me into a level more suitable to how I ride.

I'm doing the Level 3 Ty Howard race school this next time for $185. The normal price is $100 or $125 with a dvd video for level 1, 2, or 4. The LSTD events are $225 (I think) with no instruction or video.

Oh yeah...RideSmart feeds you too. We had picnic style burgers at the last event.

Hey guys, new to the board and just wanted to introduce my self and find out a little about ya'll. I noticed ya'll just got a Brag group started up, and i've been kind of looking for ppl to ride with since no one I know rides. How often does everyone get together for rides? What are most of the ppl like that going on the rides? Where do you typically go on the rides? Well, I'll pester ya'll more with questions later, must get back to work.
