That is why I'd like to get together with EVERYONE that's interested and talk about this as FRIENDS! Not as a Club. Do I want to see the Club die. No. But if it does, so be it. I stayed in the Club because I've made some great friends there, not because of the Club. I want to continue being friends no matter what happens with the Club. So we start our own Unofficial Club. No Director, no dues. Just people that want to ride, hang out, BS and all that junk. What's wrong with the Brat Stop? Or someplace in Racine, or Milwaukee? What's wrong with meeting once or twice a month at a different place every time? As far as planned rides, I agree. I too have a busy schedule and sometimes it's nice to have things planned in advance. BUT, if you go back in the Uke's archives, you'll see I've been saying that from DAY ONE! Rides NEVER go off as scheduled. NEVER! Best we can do is see what works for us as individuals, put it out there and hope everyone can make it. Will people do small rides and not say anything. Yes. Happens all the time. Karri and I have done a lot of riding with just the two of us. Was it because I did want certain people to go? Not at all. It was figured the night before, or to be frank, we wanted to go by ourselves. It wasn't because we don't like people or because we wanted to be sneaky. This ride this weekend is not the last ride of the year for me if we still get some nice weather. It's not the Fall Color Run. The tree's are still green! It wasn't planned a week ago and posted now. I posted it 5 minutes after I thought of riding and seeing what the weather was going to be like. That's all! So I'm still going. And for the record Jason, I hope you don't think you're being blamed for the Clubs problems. It's everyone fault. You're not THAT important!!  | ||

I am not afraid to tell someone if I have an issue with them. But it really doesn’t belong on badweb, remember when signing up that you agree to treat with respect and courtesy all members of this online Buell enthusiasts' community. Taking up personal issues with others really isn’t treating them with respect in my opinion, personal issues should be taken care of off line, hopefully everyone agrees ?? It sounds like a ride was planned, details posted, and it didn’t work into your’s and Dana’s schedule and you have a personal issue with it, that’s not a discussion that should take place here on this thread in my opinion !?? Anyone should be able to post their riding plans/schedule/route if they want to open that ride to club members and/or badweb members in the same area, and without fear of someone complaining about them doing so !!?? The fact that rides were not planned in advance at the meetings is a separate issue, and I certainly understand Jason’s position. No one person can plan, schedule, create a route, lead the ride and even participate in every ride. Certainly some folks need to plan ahead, but if they do why would you wait on someone else to plan that ride and complain when it doesn’t happen !! If it’s a ride you want, make it happen, extend the invitation, communicate the details to club and/or badweb members, and then go on the ride and enjoy !! If others come along that’s cool, if they don’t why would you not enjoy the ride you wanted to go on whether alone, with your spouse, friends and/or family ?? Then come back and share your riding stories and/or pics and expect to be able to do so without anyone complaining they were not included, it’s sharing the stories/experiences that matter !! Seems most folks on badweb enjoy reading and/or seeing pics of the rides/adventures that other Buellers have had !! | ||

Sounds good, dude. There are a lot of fun local roads all over that area! BTW, this was just an idea for an 'after event,' though it isn't entirely local: What about "Monster Golf" down by Great America? I forgot who even told us about it, but a group of us went down there this time last year and it was a ton of fun....Just an idea... | ||

A little FYI..OR just something to keep in the back of your minds while riding this weekend. It's going to be a beautiful weekend in SE WI with Fall approaching, which means: Lots of Farmers farming. Keep an eye out for combines and trucks pulling out of fields, and lots of debris in the roads from them being in the fields. Also, I noticed today that they're doing a lot mowing on the sides of roads so look out for lots of grass clippings--especially in turns Just thought I'd put that out there....Everybody have a greaaaaat weekend, and Ride Safe!!!  | ||

Holy Cr@p... I don't come around here to often, but when I do it seems as though something is brewing. I originally just came here today to post "last minute" to see if anyone was interested in riding this weekend as the beautiful fall colors are begining to show and the weather is perfect. That's when I read a few posts, which made me turn a few pages back to read a few more. I don't think the club should be going anywhere (as in... like away or anything). I do feel I somewhat understand some of the problems here as I have seen it in other clubs in the past. If people are feeling burnt out it might be good to just take a breather for awhile. The winter months are approaching and it's the perfect time for a break. Come spring time the weather will warm and "riding fever" will be racing through our veins. If ya get the itch to continue... then it's meant to be. Everyone needs a break once and awhile. I do NOT feel that anyone has done a bad job (at all) as any standing club officer. I do feel that a club as a whole there may be to many laxed indaviduals. I know I'm at the top of that list. I've never offered any ride suggestions, and for the past season Ive been absent to all but two meetings (for several reasons) none of which where club related. And for that I'm truely sorry. I need to buy a calendar.  All I can do is offer some suggestions and some help to keep the ball rolling as I really don't want to see this club fold. I'll even volentier as a key officer if needed. one... Ride scheduling is a difficult task at best. We can plan and plan and plan, and still no one might show, or it might get rescheduled not in the planners favor...that sucks but it has happened. Something we might try would be to have everyone post anytime there going riding even if it is one hour befor they go. Just state a common location along your route that you can stop for fifteen minutes as a meeting place and if anyone shows... they show. or post and leave your cell#. This will work if it is tried. Or at least some times it will work. Those who want to ride will ride. Two... to drum up new members we should really have some business cards printed and distributed to each of the club members to hand out to any bueller they run into. Even if you see a Buell parked in a lot, leave a card on the bike. I could take care of this if the club wishes. Ive ran into a few people that I have told the club about. Brief encounters and memories fade quickly, but a card will last. anyway...bla,bla,bla. I could type for hours but it might do more good for me to make the next meeting to learn more and discuss things there. So now back to business. Lets go riding. I'll see ya's at 2:00. And Hellion and whoever else I'm in for sunday as well. | ||

Nice to see everybody again About tomorrow, my parents are actually planning to do my dad's party a little earlier than expected, so I won't be able to do a ride tomorrow, as it turns out.
