I heard a year ago last year was it for the Wide Glide. It wasn't selling anymore. Most people buy softails, and the ones buying Dynas had moved to the Street Bob. It is much cheaper than the Wide Glide and close enough for most people. Now they have the Fat Bob to chose from as well. It would be my Dyna of choice today. Can't say anything about the softail standard. I don't really follow the softails much. |

Around here at least, the Street Glide is the number 1 seller. For years it was the Fat Boy but I guess as everyone gets older, the baggers become more attractive. I'm p.o.'d because I just bought an '08 Road Glide and now they go and make significant changes to the touring line with a different frame, bigger wheels, 180 rear tire, better shocks. Just my luck. Oh well, I'll have to convince myself that the color choices are not as good this year. |

Things improve every year, so what can you do. Think of all the guys that were pissed when they went to a 6 speed, or the 96" engine, standard FI, all that? I'm upset about the sportster line - Lows, Customs and the Nightster. No more standard models. Kind of despressing. |

No more 883R, 1200R and only Europe gets the XR1200.... Not happy with the Sportster line up this year either. |

I heard in 2010 they will offer a trike from the factory powered by the revolution motor. Two wheels in the front like the Can Am Spyder. |

I have to say, I'm one of those Street Bob owners who am quite pleased that I got the '07 with the big engine & the 6-speed. But then I saw the '09 with the properly-bobbed rear fender, vintage-looking tail light, old-school handlebar clamp, etc. There's no winning. I wanted an Infiniti G35 for the longest time, but then they come out with a bigger engine and a better interior. How 'bout that: I love my '06 Buell Ulysses, my '07 Harley, and my '98 Infiniti G20t. I want an '09 Buell 1125CR, an '09 Road Glide, and an '09 Infiniti G35-6MT. |

Dyna Super Glide in black, $11,999 Fat Bob, Street Bob, very popular bikes. Wide Glides, not so much any more. Too many bikes that are better suited to use where as the Wide Glide, in its day, was a good general all around bike. Road King is a better casual tourer you can ride around town. Street Bob is more old school, Softail Custom is more appealing chopperesque bike, Fat Bob is more aggressive ride. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. ~jammer Full disclosure: I do not own, but always wanted a Wide Glide. |
