Thanks! The pucks are from DaveS. I bought the matching frame paint from him as well. I didn't like how they looked in flat black.

Dago,

That looks great!! Is that the undertail with the turn signals built in?

The tail is the Ermax from Al at American Sport Bike. I wasn't able to retain the use of my trunk due to how much room the integrated signals take. But I didn't care too much after I saw what it looked like on.

Do you think you can post a pic of the back of the bike? I want to see that tail from the back.

Nice!
I know you're glad to have that finished.
Now you can ride!
Cameron said you may make it to March Badness.
I hope so, it'll be good to meet you, killer twisties in the area.

did you paint that undertail or did they sell it in black? I am changing my bike to black and I have the blue undertail kit already. If you painted it, is the color a good match? What brand of paint?

I ordered it in black. No painting was required. For the record, the color matches perfectly.

If you do decide to paint, I'd order the extended rear fender as well. Otherwise, your undertail may turn into a black one with blue chatter.

The color coating that Ermax is using seems to be of fairly high quality. My only complaint about the whole unit is it's hoaky way of fixing the blinkers to the fiberglass. I wound up having to take them out, grind away the old epoxy, and then reinstall them properly. I also may work on cutting the trunk up a bit more to make it fit with the undertail.

Ironmachine.com sells the levers - at least there's where I got my gold set.

As far as painting - Dupont has a tech sheet on the exact process they recommend for their plastic:

They are CRG levers and I got'em from American Sport Bike. These have been my favorite add on to date.

I agree, get the R and then put the S pegs on it and there you go, same exact bike.

I wanted an S in the beginning. Now I want an R.

I love chopped off look you can get with an S. But the R is more conducive to my riding style.

Lazyme, they are not the exact same bike with a simple peg switch.

The difference between the hand grip and seating positions on both bikes are worlds apart.

Dude-yer killin me...the bike looks sweet-f'n AWESOME!!! I'm half-thinkin of doing the same to my bike. Found out the CityX is really more suited to riding in the CITY! Not doing 75-85 mph all day on the freeway.

later,
Nick

Thanks Whistle! And you're absolutely right, the S/X models are not at all for highway riding. They'll beat you down above 85 mph, especially if you're tall.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the faring. I also bought the +3" windshield from American Sport Bike, but have yet to try it out. Using the stock windscreen, the wind hits me just perfectly at ~85 to hold up my torso thus keeping the weight off my wrists. It's also plenty tall to tuck in behind when the opportunity presents itself. That said, the FX teams are using it. And they know a $hit load more than I.
