For some reason when I go to start my bike after its been sitting a day or two the battery will sound like its dead but when I hit the starter again it starts right up. Also ever time it happens the trip meter and clock reset.
Anyone else have this problem or have a solution?
thank you

Initially it sounds like loose or corroded battery connections. I'd check that first.......

My bike has been doing that same thing lately, I just thought it was from the temps being in the teens here in Colo. After I start the bike and let it warm up then turn it off, it cranks over and starts up fine. I didn't start having this problem until it got cold so I figured when the weather warms up this problem will go away.

Check the battery connections any way. You don't want a loose connection, it will cause other problems after a while. The way the battery shakes, it's a good idea to check it every once in a while.

Mine started doing the same thing when the temp. dropped here in Philly. My terminals are clean and tight. Fresh off the Battery Tender it starts fine.

Best bet use a battery tender at all times.

Just got through checking, and all my connections are tight. Guess it is just the cold weather.

Good deal.
Last winter my bike was doing the same thing.
My ground cable wasn't tight.

My bike did the same thing about 2 months after I bought it. The original battery was shot, my brothers did it after about a year and his battery was also shot. After we put new ones in the problem went away.
