Hi.
Thanks for letting me join this great forum.

I have a question about the AFV value on my XB9S -2003, when i checked it first was it at 116. I have now changed the intake gaskets just as a pre-maintenance and tested with starter spray with good result, no leakage. But the AFV is still on 115, the bike runs good. It backfires from the exhaust at engine braking, but that seem to be common when a slip on are used. Is 115 anything to worry about?

Does your bike have a stock muffler? If not this might be normal.

Reset the TPS zero point (engine at operating temperature) and the AFV.

Then go for a ride preferably where you can cruise engine speed 3000 rpm continuously for 25 kilometers. Then review the AFV value.

It has a copy of a Akrapovic slip on, the TPS have recently made a reset on and acually the AFV also some week ago.
I did drive for about 5-6 minutes in 5:th gear at 3000rpm yesterday to see if the AFV did change. But about 115 still.

10-15% above or below 100 isnt anything to be concerned about.
