Greetings all,
Sold my S3 a couple of weeks ago and I'm now the proud poppa of new 2004 XB12S. Got about 500 miles on (a little cool in the midwest)and can't wait for warmer weather. I got the race kit, but I'm really torn about installing it. My dealer will take it back if I want.

I had an S2 and got rid of it for a XB9R. I don't think you will be disappointed except for the size of the fuel tank. That extra 1.5 gallons comes in handy. 14 months and 22,000 miles later, I am one happy camper! I ended up trading the S2 for a boat.

I had an S2, then got an S3 w/tour option. I now have added an XB9R. I need something more suitable for touring with 2 people on one bike though and the S3 doesn't cut it.

Time to make the saddlebag mounts for the XB9R.

ENjoy!

Are you saying the XB is better for touring two-up than the S3?

Just added a S3T to my stable.
My XB12R is the perfect weekend warrior with greater performance.
The S3 is more comfortable, has a longer range and packs more but still exciting to ride.
Which I ride will depend on where, how long and what my focus is.
Best for two up? Depends on how close you want to be!

YEAH the XBR is the ULTIMATE bike, all in one package(sport, tour, cruiser)!

Not even, I plan on making it a great 1 person sport/Sport tour bike, hoping she'll get one for herself one day. IF not that then I still want to have a bike I can take off on by myself for several days. STILL looking for a cool, comfy and affordable 2 person cycle. Granted I'm only 26 and need something that fits my style (the S3 is pushing it as is)

Well,
Day 2 with the race kit and street fighter seat. Man I really love both. I did'nt realize how much nicer the xb would sound with the race kit! It does stumble a bit, but I need to put a few more miles on... wish it wasn't 42 deg. and raining..
