Matt here, sorry to bug you all again! I have fixed my shifter mentioned in a previous thread, recieved my Buelltooth dongle and went out just now to begin my ECM journey.

When I went outside I noticed this plug hanging down beside the fairing; I had wondered about it before, but when I removed the rubber plug I saw the same connection type as my Buelltooth dongle? This may be an ignorant question... but does this connection go to my ECM? And if it does...was it supposed to be disconnected?? I can take pictures of my buelltooth as well if needed. Sorry for another noob thread!

Looks like the connector for you to go in and modify the ECM maps/do the TPS reset with a computer (ECMSpy) on the XB series.

It's under the seat on the "S" model.

Excellent; If I can avoid removing the fairing, all the better! I'll try plugging my bluetooth into it and connecting, see if that works.

Performed a TPS reset, now am just waiting for Buelltooth to get back with me for the pipe specific .xpr file.

I know some people use buellmods.com, but I do not think the 2004 xb12 race map would do me any good without the race pipe. Secondly, I do not know if it's possible to convert his .txt file to .xpr for EcmDroid to read..? I figure i'm better off just waiting for Buelltooth to email me back.

So, my curiosity got the best of me.

I took the air cover off to see whether or not someone had installed a K&N air filter; They have. That's good I suppose, but I still am unsure whether or not someone has tuned it!

One thing I noticed... My throttle plate is still completely closed against the intake? I know to do a TPS reset you must back the idler out until it sits completely closed...But I adjusted my idle back up (Or thought I did)...Is it supposed to sit completely closed all the time?

I don't know what year your bike is but there are 2 different TPS re-set procedures.

Pre and Post '08. I believe they are both described in detail on the Buelltooth site and they are for sure described in the manual for your bike.

You can get a copy at Buellmods.com or Buelltooth.com for free

Absolutely; The pre-08 procedure requires ECMspy or Buelltooth. An update, I reflashed the ECM with the map i requested and performed another TPS reset. All is well except I still cannot get this low-rpm stutter out of her... I believe new plugs are next in order. It runs like a striped ape, but first gear regular launches - like at a stoplight - present some pretty significant sputtering.
