the customer lives about 15K outside New York City,. It's for a XR1200 to build a cruise gearing kit. But in principle same any any help is welcome

I only know one independent shop and they are much farther away, but I'll throw it out and your customer can call if they don't find anything closer.

I know they do machine work on things like align boring a block and boring cylinders. Used to race Suzuki GSXR and a lot of the really old Harleys seem to end up there for work. Might be worth contacting them even if there are shops closer.
