So I'm riding by these two cute girls (one was my GF) and I decide to head on down the sidewalk... The sidewalk has curbs, but the sidewalk itself isn't raised any higher than the road. Basically this leaves a curb with a nice ramp about every 30 feet. After I went by my GF and her friend I decided to use one of those ramps to do a little jump... Well, just as I landed the bike popped out of gear (or so I though...) I popped it into second and back to first... Same thing... Stopped, looked, no belt. Turned around, there's by beautiful belt lying on the ground. Damn.

I don't feel it was any sort of defect to the belt or anything though... There was about 9K miles on that belt and a rock got pushed clear through it about 5K miles ago. Yes, there has been an actual hole on my belt for 5K miles. I had jumped the bike at least five times before this (no more than maybe 6" off the ground). In any case, perfectly happy with the life I got from that belt.

M1, as long as there wasn't a " Here hold my beer and watch this " before you did your little Evel Kneivel stunt your still okay. Otherwise you'd end up the butt of a Jeff Foxworthy joke!

Put a hole in my belt earlier this season with a rock also. Already snapped one clutching up a second gear wheelie so I was a little leary about it so I put a new one on and saved that one as a spare.

Actually, I apologize for not having it in stock the day you needed it.
I have had the parts mgr reset the reorder point in the system so from now on I'll always have one on hand. Unless 3 people all need one at the same time.

I have also done the same thing with 03 belts.
I didn't realize they had only sold 2 03 9 belts and no 12 belts before I started here.

I had to do the same with clutch cables.

I am slowly getting things up to speed(Dave speed) here. Thanks to all of you that have helped me do this.

Got 20K on my belt. I suppose I should order one. Hook me up, Dave.
I had to replace my clutch cable at 15K also(speed shifting showing off). I had somewhat of a problem finding one in stock. I use my bike as a commuter. Fremont Cycle Center in the San Francisco Bay Area was the parts mogul. The parts guy claimed he had heard that comment frequently.
