recently crashed and got pretty messed up and need to sell the engine and whatever i can to pay the rest of the loan off.. most of the damage is in the front forks rim and dash. engine doesnt seem to have taken any damage.. headers look good so does exhaust.just wondering what would be reasonable for me to expect for the engine and transmission if in fact everything is ok. its a 2003 firebolt xb9r stock everything

Miles?

Front mounts intact? (they often are torn in a bad crash)

Check ebay for closed auctions to get an idea of what people have paid.

How is the instrument cluster? I'm kind of interested in getting another so I can use it to prototype a mod.

The engine if the miles are reasonable and it works should be around $1000.

If the frame is still good and you have or can get a clear title you should be able to get another $1000 or so.

Swing arm a couple hundred.

Rear wheel maybe up to $100 but probably closer to $75 or $50.

How F'ed is F'ed? I really only need it to look at placement for a voltmeter and to find a connection point for said meter. Doesn't need to work but mostly intact would be ideal. Be happy to pay shipping to get it here if I might be able to use it for my investigations without taking mine off the road.

Must have been one hell of a crash to wreck the cluster.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the mounts, if it had a stock 03 front mount it was time to replace and it probably got whacked, same for the rear mount.

Also muffler is worth a little bit, brake parts (what's left) are again worth a little bit. Seats, any body work that survived, rear sub frame, etc. About the only thing not worth any money would be the 03 belt system since everyone generally wants to upgrade to the newer belt and cogs.

Reading it again, you should be able to clear $2000 without removing a single bolt if the engine still runs (assuming ECM is still working and wires are not severed) and the frame isn't dented. Might get more than that to the right person who wants to rebuild it or grab it for bulk parts.

For you turbo guys this frame has the snorkle pass through making it easier to get the blown air into the engine.
