Can anybody tell me if I can use Harley Evo Sportster gaskets in an SS? The ones on americansportbike are 40 dollars and the ones from harley are less than ten. Are they made of different materials?

or if you know of anywhere else I can get some gaskets? I only need one side but I realize that they mostly come in pairs.

Which gaskets do you mean? When you say one side, do you mean primary vs. cam cover? This http://www.nrhsperformance.com/partsgaskets.shtml

shows some common gasket sets.

I just buy my maintenance gaskets at the Harley dealer. I tell them it's for a Buell, but I think it's all Sportster stuff. OEM stuff is cheap and my local dealer is decent to deal with.

However, I do get head gaskets from Cometic.

You can order gasket kits from Drag Specialties. Everything from top end to entire engine rebuild including all seals.
