Brought back from the dead. Not really, just been taking up corner space for a little while. Had to change out the gas, changed the oil, trickle charging the battery, and used a jump box, and got it started. Running really well, but my hips just cannot take it.

I am 50 years old, and it is really painful for me to try and sit on that bike. I took it around the block, and it is running really strong, but I am not. I can ride the softail all day, but that bike and the riding position are totally different than the Buell.

I love the Buell, and the way it runs, but I don't think I'll be riding it much. The turn signals are dry rotted. Those little rubber springys are toast on three of them. Had to charge the battery, drain the gas, and change to oil to get it back, but it starts and runs like it used to, and only has 2087 miles on it. I hope to find it a good home.

Not quite ready to list it. It needs a bath, new signals, and maybe a battery. Also needs air in the tires. I gotta look up the proper tire pressure. Turning really hard. Other than that, it's 100%. Took all of about 24 hrs to get it back up.

Aired up the ties. Had the bike on trickle charge all last night, and it still powers up the ECU and the lights, but won't crank the bike. When I use a jump box, it starts first crank. Looking at a set of aftermarket turn signals, and a new battery, then the bike is 100%.

I also had a sport seat in storage, and it sits higher than the stock seat. Makes the bike easier to ride. I put a couple miles on it this morning when I went to get air. Riding it now makes me remember why I got it in the first place. It's hard to stay off of that throttle.

Checked locally for a battery, and can pick one up for about 93 dollars. I am seriously giving some thought to putting it in. I have seen cheaper ones, but they're not designed for motorcycles that vibrate. This battery is supposed beefed up to withstand it.

Man, I think I am going to miss this bike when I sell it.

Sad, sad story Stretch, have you tried the 1" drop pegs along with your taller seat option? Maybe it will let you sit with enough comfort to put a few more miles on the thing.

Make sure whatever battery you get is the AGM type.
You don't want acid sloshing around under your seat.

Yeah, I have the LSL drop down pegs. I also have a Harley Softail. I have to go down to one bike, and the Harley payment is actually smaller.

The Buell is still stock, except for some cosmetic things. It's raining today, so with only bikes, I think I am going to hold off until tomorrow to take the bike down for the battery. I'll just jump it with the jump box and ride it over. It has juice, but no CCA. So, it won't start the bike.

That, and some new turn signals, and it'll be cherry. Someone is going to get a great deal on a virtually new bike, and Harley credit is going to get their money. Me, I am going to be able to keep my other bike. It's a win win all the way around, so I am not complaining.

Was watching the EBR videos about the motorcycle track testing stuff in another thread. Brand new lump, supposedly putting out 163 hp for the street. If I was only 20 years younger... but I think my racing days are over. Happy just to cruise along on my old tractor.

Did you want to sell the XBSs? If so, please email me.

Thanks
