The oil light will not indicate fouled plugs.
Sounds like you've a circulation issue if the oil light's on, and you're full of oil.
Maybe your oil filter has gone bad.
Maybe your oil vent is clogged.
Maybe you just need to change your oil.
I just doubt your spark plugs have anything to do with the oil light coming on...

Those oil pressure switches like to act goofy sometimes. Verify the switch operation too!

i had assumed that it was lean and over heated making the oil to thin for the pump to move it.

i put new oil in it the other day. coudlnt do the filter because my local auto parts store didnt have one.

the oil light. if that comes on will the bike instantly start to low idle and die?

the light goes off after like 10 min of it sitting and the bike cools a little.

i appreciate the help guys. its riding weather and i wanna ride.

oh and the other thing pointing me to an overheating problem. is that in the morning it was 48 today and it ran fine made it to school. but i didnt make it home today in the 75+degree weather. thats why i think it has something to do with temperature.

Find one.
There's a bypass valve in the bottom of the filter that needs to work properly.
If the rider before you used an automotive filter, there's an even more chance of something going wrong, do not use an automotive filter!
If the bike overheats, it'll go into "skip mode" making the bike run on one cylinder.
It would also cause the engine light (not the oil light) to come on, thus throwing a code.
Do you have a service manual to show you how to check codes, and their meaning?
If you don't, get one.
These bikes not having anyone wanting to work on them leaves us to do the work.
A service manual is a must have, a big must have.

i have a service manual and ecm spy. remapped my ecm with the race map. i went and found an oil filter. what a pain... and its a fram for bikes.
ill be putting it on tomorrow along with an oil pressure switch that i no is working properly. then im going to drop the oil pump just to be sure its not screwed up.. if it is ill put in the one from the bad engine.

from what your telling me im not over heating then. it never when in to "skip mode" and the engine light never came on.

i have no codes coming up when i check them with ecm spy.

and just another question what wire goes to what injector on the throttle body. theres a green and a white. i didnt notice it when i put the new engine in but would like to make sure i have that right.
