Found a great deal on a xb12r but would need to convert it to s ergos. No luck doing a search. Has anyone done this and what is the grief factor? Thanks, Robert. |

no grief for swapping at all. unbolt the r stuff bolt on the s stuff. Putting the s front on the R will be needing a harness from an S to fit well but it's not 100% needed. Other than that it's a direct swap simple and easy. |

Cool, what I did find in my forum search was guys thinking a harness swap plus mucho labor was involved. The bike is a good deal but not if it requires lots of time and money. |

Dago went from S to R years ago and logged the conversion here on the site. It was a pain in the ass due to more parts needing to be changed than he anticipated. It may be much easier and cheaper to sell yours and buy an S. |

I drilled my R top triple and made a set of risers to put some Pro Tapers on it. A stock S top triple would work with a set of lower rise bars. Gives the S riding position with the wind protection of the R.

I like Gun Nut's idea better. I did that with my old GSXR. Put dirt bike bars on, with mounts mounted in holes I drilled in the triple clamp. Had to get custom longer cables made, but that's cheap. |

Thanks for the input but I guess the bike is sold. Seller has not replied to my e mail. 2500 for a clean low mile 2004. Guess it went quick. |
