Just scored a GSX-R Nissin 19mm radial master cylinder for $75, but now I need to purchase a reservoir (way more expensive than I had hoped for) and find a way to mount it! Any ideas??? Almost thinking about researching the reservoirless method, I have seen a few rear systems setup to have only a line of tubing filled with fluid rather than the container, but never seen it on the front. |

Sounds risky, the front brake is to important. I have the Nissin Radial MC on my XB and 1125. On both I notch the bar clamp and fabricate a mount that essentially gets pinched between the clamps. Pics should give you and idea of what was done. the 1125 has been revised since this pic, but you get the idea.

Very clean, I think that is what I will do. Just found a CBR reservoir for $20. |

Also were you impressed with the performance difference? Have been underwhelmed with my brakes for a while and will be getting to the track later this month. I am hoping they will work much better, already have the finned rotor and EBC Extreme Pro race pads. |

IMO it its the best bang for the buck for our bikes when it comes to braking. You get better feedback from the lever and more stopping power with less lever pull. |

Really excited to try it out. How exactly did you notch the bar clamp? |

You grind out the middle part of the clamp to the width and thickness of the mount and then you slide the mount in and the top bolt holds it in place. On both bikes I have the Nissin master, ZTL2 caliper, aftermarket pads and rotors. The 1125 is a track bike and the brakes are as strong as my dads 675's twin disk setup. He is behind me if that tells you anything.

i just isntalled CR clubman bars on my XB9s. Im thinking of doing this just so i can move the grips closer to the center of the bike. |

Thanks! Saw some pics of a setup where they just put the bracket between the clamp and the bolt instead of inside the two clamps, I'll see what looks the cleanest when I get the reservoir in. The master came in today, looks great. And yes, it does tell me something, that you have about 30 hp on him just teasing. What kind of fairing is that? Very clean looking. |

The fairing is the Buell factory aftermarket. That 675 is no slouch BTW. What it lacks in peak HP it makes up for in agility. |

Yeah those 675's are nice rides. But until we are talking AMA level riding it really doesn't matter. The rider is the determining factor. I can pass 1198's all day long in B group on my 86hp wimpy braking (until now hopefully!) XB while I know a few guys that have passed me on Ninja 250's at Thunderhill raceway, a very high HP track. |

Yea, the guy on the yellow bike in the pic is on a 125 2smoke and he rips on that thing. Fast in the turns and gets killed on the straits. |

Its a lot of fun chasing the smaller bikes. My fastest lap ever at Thunderhill (2:12.00) was done while chasing Brian Bartlow (an AFM 250 SBK champion) on one of his lightly modified Ninja 250's. I was rolling off the gas early and braking softer (earlier) than normal just to keep myself from getting ahead of him in the straights yet I still was going so much quicker through the turns that I dropped 2 seconds. I was running a slow A group pace on my Buell, which was just a few seconds off the Ninja 250 record for that track. I guess slow really is fast... |

I'm loving the red/green tape on the headlights! (Message edited by Syonyk on July 03, 2011) |

For my yet to be installed Nissin radial MC I bought the hardware for a Triumph Speed Triple. It has a different bar clamp that includes a mirror mount and bracket to mount the reservoir. |
