I'm having an exhaust welded up for my XB12R. It'll use the stock header with a 90 degree mandrel bent elbow. After that it'll split back into two pipes. My question is... What size pipes should I use? I was thinking 2" or so with baffles for back pressure. I want this pipe for track use and I'll get a Drummer for highway use.

What do you think Kevin D.?

M1,
I think you'll have a D&D when you are finished....I don't think that the engine will know the difference in the track or the street...I would say put the Drummer on there and save the threads on your bolts from swapping back and forth....but if you have an idea of what you want , I'd say go for it and let us know how it does!!!Have a great day....KEVIN

Well, he said he can get it done pretty cheap and that's what I'm after ATM. I can afford to do this before I pay my taxes and my last Mustang payment... After that I can get whatever I want. I'm still very much interested in a Drummer as I know that straight pipes will tone down the lower end in favor of the upper. I don't want that but I'm very interested in the cool sound and quite frankly I don't tend to go full throttle much anyway. Don't worry though, I'm still in the market for a Drummer. I prefer a lower pitched sound.

Can you make any recommendation as to the diameter of pipe I should use?

No larger than 2 inch for the duals...
if any bigger you'll start losing velocity...

That's what I was thinking. Thank you Kevin.
