Just before Christmas, I did a major service (15K) on my bike that included a new belt. It was a blue dyed biatch to get on and seemed to be extremely tight.

I got a Free Spirits tensioner from Matt at Adenaline-Moto...what a fine piece it is. Made a noticeable difference in how much easier the bike rolls... Thanks Matt!

I'm still debating on one. I put a new belt on my 12R before the swingarm change, and thought the tension was reasonable. I use a Uly belt now, and will get a new one to put on before spring. If it's too tight, I'll come up with something. I have never heard of someone breaking a belt with one of those on.........

They were out of stock on the gold one, I had to wait to have it made and anodized...glad I did. it was worth the wait.

sigh... thats one thing I truely am jealous of you XB guys about. I think the tensioner is the coolest thing ever. I'm still trying to figure out a intersting way to mount on on my s1, if I can ever get my hands on a roller to see how to mount it.

Foximus, let me check, I may have one lying around.
If I remember though, you'd need to put a new bearing in it.
It's an easy fix with a common bearing.
If I still have it, it's your's.

Yeah, if by mounting bracket you mean what the idle wheel is attached to.

This is what I've been told is out in the garage, not black though.

Went for my first long-ish ride since I installed it...it has definately reduced the drag from the belt some....and it has "softened" the off throttle transition some...a positive thing in my view.
