Will an X1 ECMspy work on a 2007 xb12stt? I had one laying around and was wondering if anyone tried it.

Same cable fits many Pc programs.

The cable in not made specifically to the program...

Ecmspy, Directlink, Tunerpro, Ecmspy mono, Ecmread, Tuneboy, Tunerpro/rt,and fuelsolutions all use the same cable .
All Bike years... depending on program used. (90)% of these are free programs to get and use.
Most have free ecm datas for backup on stock and stock race datas.

Tunerpro Rt is the most power full and fits every buell. Free many people use it and share their data from maps they developed on a dyno and Datalogged maps made to a bike in your area.

Beware of maps made on a different bike and different fuel quality and different atmospheric/geological values. They may work or they may make it worse.Dynos lie for real world results.

thanks for the PM xoptimizedrsx, i forwarded it to my friend who needs it so he can do it all on his computer (i'm using a mac anyway, and am not sure if it'll work with mine).

Kyle (my friend) got TunerPro donloaded, and i forwarded him the link/file with all the maps (i'm guessing thats what they are...my mac wouldnt open them) you PMed me also, but I think he is having trouble figuring out how to work it. We are both new to the whole ECM tuning thing.

Any advice?...

P.S. is the 2000 X1 map race map going to be the same as the 1999 X1 race map?

Yes the 1999 and 2000 X1 race maps are the same.

Is there any videos or writeups that show me around these re mapping programs?

The only program you will find a write up on is ECMSpy, which can be found on http://xoptiinside.com/.

the file on the V2 of the tuning guide on my site it is a link to the main file in ecmspy. Those rules follow suit in all programs.

pick your program learn it and poof your good. get overwhelmed. phone a friend. still lost go Back to the drawing board.

IMO at that time GET A Erik Buell Racing ECM. Call it done.

Will it be spot on matched to your bike, your fuel type, you on it riding, your altitude and weather? NO.

Will it be close. YES...

Will you notice it off on the street? probably not.

Would it get better if refined on the bike to you and your area(geological earth GPS positioning, fuel type and ect.. (AE weather, altitude and ect)? Yes

Will messing with the Erik Buell Racing ECM on your own break it? NO

BUT IT WILL VOID ANY WARRANTY***100%*** on the ecm as well as the bike. your Bike Your Chance. Your Parts

MY .05 cents, This use to be 2 cents but Obama forced Inflation due to poor Judgment on lending banks money to lend more bad loans. You know something new, sonething not ever done before."He called it change" (apparently he was not a history major) see lending during the great depression. It didnt work then and it didnt work now)...

thanks for the prop Terry.
