the quality of the parts is awesome, risers from american sportbike and pegs from Knights! The bike is way more comfortable now............... With all that being said, I think i may put it back to stock, its almost too relaxed! does that make any sense? | ||

Haha yeah I am running my stock pegs on my 12r and sometimes I think about the lower pegs. In the end I always decide to keep it stock for the more aggressive feel. I think If I do anything for more comfort it will be a seat. | ||

You were right Froggy! but I do like the more relaxed setup as well. I think I'll just keep these parts around and have the option to switch back and forth depending on the type of riding. If I have a long trip to take I will definately swap on the more relaxed parts............. | ||

I run S pegs on my R, and a select seat. Adds 2 inches of room. I'm a taller fella, so it's a welcome change. I'm putting an S top tree, and some bars on soon for a more natural riding position. I'm anxious to try it with the R tail on there. | ||

Can't wait to see your bike after the bars Ganut. I'm a tall feller too and even my STT hasn't enough room to be super comfortable. I will definitely be bringing the bars up an inch to straighten my back. | ||

I'll be moving my bars about 3in up, and 4in back. Basically S egros, with a Bolt select seat. I'm guessing it's going to be pretty comfy. I'm putting an STT swingarm on too. | ||

I have been thinking of doing what Gunut is planning on doing as well. Especially after my ride from Louisiana to Texas yesterday. I think I am tired of being leaned over so much especially when I travel which I do a lot on my bike. | ||

Swingarm should be here this week. Cant wait. I'll have to get the scoot here to the shop this week. Good thing too. It's supposed to get good and cool around here. Bike will be nice and toasty for the winter. | ||

Cool. The swingarm is sitting next to the bike right now. I have about 3-4 more days of 15 hour days, then I can get to it.  First photos are already taken. | ||

Swingarm Superhappy-funtime-mega-OK-great time. On a side note, I need to get me one of them motorcycle lifts. I bet that makes working on short bikes easy on tall guys. | ||

You bet it does. And having a Buell with jack points in the exhaust makes it even easier. I picked up a 1000lbs HF lift a few years back when they were on sale for $199 and I had a 20% coupon. Used the savings to replace the cheap wheel chock with one from Derek Weaver. It's not as nice as a Handy Lift or other higher quality brand, but I'm not using it every day either. Have had no troubles with it at all and at 6'2", sure makes maintenance more fun. |
