Shouldn't the EVAP port have been plugged when the EVAP canister was removed when installing theh RACE KIT? The port is open on my throttle body. Maybe the plug popped off or maybe it was never put on? Could explain the decel popping.

Yes it should be plugged. They have been known to pop off from engine backfire.

It sounds like others on another board have noticed the same. I hadn't noticed until someone pointed it out that the port is before the throttle plate. so it isn't pulling vacuum, maybe some dirty air is all. I'll plug in anyways before I put it all back together.

Actually, if you take the throttle body off you will see that the hole is right between the sides of the throttle plate, so it will pull air through at idle. My bike started to idle better when I put a cap on it. 1/8 inch is very tight but should hold on for a good long time. $3.00 for a pack of different size caps at an auto parts store.

Thanks Greg, that's what I plan to do. Making a trip to the local auto parts store after work today. Then I'm just a clutch cable away from getting this thing back on the road with the new Superbike bar conversion. Comfort here I come!

Where is this port you're talking about in the picture?

The port without a hose or plug on it. Follow the red arrow. J/K
