Hey, Ive been looking into the open airbox kits offered for the xb's and am wondering what peoples experiences are with them, their gains, and who makes the best one. Any info would be appreciated.

I just recently got the open air kit from American Sport Bike.

Noticeable difference is noise as stated above plus my engine spools up quicker and has a little smoother power delivery in the mid & low range and its just ever so slightly smoother at low rpms.

This is on an 05 12Scg with race ecm, race pipe and K&N filter.

I think different setups will get different results.

I havn't played with the mapping yet. I'm waiting until next summer when I can afford an SS Drummer then I'll get it tuned for optimal running ability.
