Hi
I am looking for the required parts to convert my 2005 XB12R fire bolt into an XB12s lightning like the tail frame, seat, rear fender, bug deflector, head lights, gauge cluster, brackets, fasteners, tree, handle bar & so on.

It will be great If anyone can help me find those parts and thanks guys for all the interesting threads.
Love my 2005 bolt but I wna go street fighting

In addition to the parts, you will need to re-route some wiring. More wiring under the seat on the S, more behind the fairing on the R. Some have done it. IMO it would be simpler/cheaper to find someone that wants to trade an S for an R.

Good luck finding someone to trade though. I got no response when I asked.

why not just trade it straight over with someone for a lightning? would be a hell of a lot cheaper and faster.

maybe its just me but i dont see any point to a complete conversion......

if you want a firebolt, buy a firebolt...if you want a lightning, buy a lightning.

Maybe he bought the bolt then decided later that he wanted a lightning. Perfectly understandable, that's what I did.

Hi guys and thanks for the replies
First let me introduce myself I'm yasser and I’m from Bahrain and yes I did concede trading my Fire Bolt for a Lightning S but the problem is the XB buells in my country are really rare, according to a guy in the only HD dealership here they have order only:
2 2005 xb12r
1 2006 xb12tt
2 2007 xb9cx
1 2008 xb12s
1 2008 xb12ss
1 2008 xb12x

One of the Fire bolts has been shipped to the states since it's belong to some girl work for the US army, I end up with the only Fire bolt on the island cause the sales man at the time told me that it is the only model available of the XB and they are going to Import no more so I said to myself an XB in the hand....,The xb12tt owner is so proud of his bike and he swing his fist in my face when I brought the issue for discussion, One of the xb9cx belong to the dealer ship (their stunt rider bike)as for the other one no thanks I don’t want to step down to a bone stoke XB9 mine run like a champ with the Screaming Eagle exhaust system the Race ECM and Intake system topped by both cylinder heads and throttle body porting job, The only XB12s belong to my brother , I did not like the longer xb12ss from the beginning although the owner will be more than happy to seal the trading deal and I can’t even imagine myself on the XB12x cause I wana go street fighting.
Sorry I don’t want to sell the fairing or any part of the bike unless there is someone really interested in a complete Lightning to Fire bolts conversion then we might be able sort things out.
I hope that you understand my motives now that you know my story.
Thanks again for your response.
