I just mounted a Pilot Power 2CT on the front & Pilot Road 2CT on the rear of my XB12Ss. The tires are marked with 42 p.s.i. I think some have mounted this combination and I'd be grateful for feedback on the best pressures.

I've always run closer to 30 psi on my sportbikes if at the track or on a "hard" ride. Jump up to 32-34 if just commuting or cruising.

Just saying I run xxpsi is leaving yourself open for bad things.

I've found on both my 03 R1 (Yamaha) and my XB12R..which both have the Pilot Power2CT, that, THAT tire likes more pressure than most tires I've run in the past.
Yea, even on the lighter XB.

Over the years I've been using the Pilots, they seem to like about 42psi. I run 42 in the frt. and 44psi in the back.
This give both good traction AND a good wear pattern.

That said, I put 38/40psi in the OEM tires on my 09 1125CR....the tires are already showing a crown flat spot at 3000miles...! Even the front!
That means, I'm running way too much pressure!!
I've dropped them to 33psi and 35psi (frt. & rr). It's too late to save these tires, but the Pilots will be going on my CR once the original tires are gone.

That's been my first hand experience on more than one bike.

Mike
