Hello all. New owner here I just bought a 03 xb9. this is my first bike and i bought it to make a redneck chopper out of it. Plz no flamin to each their own.Just wondering besides changing the oil would u all reccomend doing to it. I plan on rideing it stock for the summer to learn on. If i decide i like it better than the chopper ill just buy another. Also can the rear foot pegs and arms be removed without any troubles? I dont plan on any passengers ever. and if i sell them how much should i ask? Ok thats all for now.
thanks alex Upstate sc.

I originally bought my 96 S2T with plans to chop it. I had never heard of Buell before and while looking for a cheap sportster a Harley guy told me a little about them. Basically he said they were great chopper material.
However, after riding for one season I would rather be tarred and feathered than chop my Buell.
In fact I liked it so much i bought another Buell, an '03 XB9S.

Just ride it, i'm sure you'll change your mind.

The rear pegs unscrew easily with I believe an 8mm allen wrench. That is a beautiful bike and I hope the only thing you chop is the tail.

cool rpm thanks for the replie i just think the bike will look better without them and i wasnt sure if it would be a problem to remove them.
